man, i was planning on getting a good ngiht's sleep tonight. right after i posted here, i went to do my homework in bed, then go make my lunch for tomorrow and fall asleep at 10 at the latest. i fell asleep for 2 hours after doing 3 questions, and now i can't get to sleep. don't you hate when that happens? well i guess i'll go make my lunch now, then try to go to sleep. i think i'm going to ask my mom for sleeping pills tomorrow, because i don't think i can make it through a whole school year like this without failing.

Drum Phil 09-08-2005 12:42 AM

jesus christ i forgot 6:45AM actually existed! *yawns*

Double Bass Jim 09-08-2005 03:03 AM

Haha nice can't beat anything free!

Chris 09-08-2005 03:11 AM

I just thought that i would say that i had my first pratice with my new band last nite. I learnt 7 songs in 3 hours :D, and hopefully we will be playing gigs in a month.

PowerStamp 09-08-2005 03:14 AM

I've been re-uploading and editing songs for the past 4 hours lol

I messed with the bass EQ on the actual tape recorder and got the bass to come out sounding much better than it did before, same for guitar.
Currently trying to cut down on some fuzzy noise on our show-ender song lol

http://www.myspace.com/lufthansaheist

"Hold it Down" and "No Donnie" (Evergreen Terrace cover, which the band themselves enjoyed! lol) are "remastered" lol, currently re-mastering Punchout.
*Edit, and I think I'm just about done with it, JUST ABOUT lol*

Chris 09-08-2005 03:18 AM

On Hold On, put the guitar further up the mix, it will sound better i think.

PowerStamp 09-08-2005 03:24 AM

really? Hm. I'll try that, I haven't really re-uploaded that song yet, just did some editing to it. I think you're right though, because about halfway you hear the guitar get suddenly a bit louder, I bumped it up a bit and it does sound a bit better.

:D

Voodoo Rabbit 09-08-2005 10:55 AM

I'm not too* sure but I think a a guy tried to ask me out today. It was really noisy, so I'm not all that sure what he said. At first it sounded like 'Will you be the drummer in my band?'. He asked again, but I still didn't hear him, and the last word didn't sound like 'band', more like 'girlfriend'. Then he said ' It dosn't matter, I'll ask you at lunch'.

This guy is notorious for asking girls out a lot. So I spent my lunch-time hiding from him. However, I think I may be blowing this out of proportion.

Ugh, what possesed him to go and do that?

Sounds like one of my friends who is a man-hore. He will ask a girl out, and then dosnt like it as they follow him around and he has no space.
Hey guys, I have an idea. It may have been been sugested before or even created once, but I think we should have an MXDP YSI thread.
I started one ages ago but it was closed because Damo didn't agree with piracy, which is completely fair and understandable.

"man-hores" are just ***** *** little boys who're insecure about themselves and i hate them :)

Futuro 09-08-2005 04:42 PM

ARghhh!!! im getting pissed at my coordination. i thought of this poly that includes left foot switching between 7/8 5/8 4/8 but i cant solo over it yet. i will hopefully get it by tonight so you dudes can hear it.

Plan B. 09-08-2005 04:45 PM

Haha ahh that sucks, now ya gotta figure out a way to get out of it!

Futuro 09-08-2005 05:01 PM
Can't solo over it yet?!

Wow, you REALLY suck!
yeah i kknow, the bars of the left foot are actually set up so i repeat every thing. two bars of 7, two bars of 5, two bars of 4, which makes a HUGE bar of 4/4 (kinda) 7+7+5+5+4+4 = 32/4.

after that im trying to do a solo over it in different times and feels, im getting caught in one of the grooves i made to go over it between the solos.

Massik Kretal 09-08-2005 05:38 PM

Ugh I hate school.

Anyone from NY go to Brookyln Tech by any chance?

Win A Rabbit 09-08-2005 05:39 PM

man, i was making some sandwiches last night for my lunch, and i dropped the knife by accident when i went to open the fridge... the tip of the knife caught my foot just to the side of my "ring" toe. there was a little bead of blood, but no more than that. and let me tell you, it friggin' hurts.

well tomorrow night, my friend (lives about 20 feet from my house) 's mom is having a block party, and coincidentally i'm planning on getting quite drunk. i don't really want to go though, because there's a huge possibility of my parents being there, and i really don't want my parents to see me drunk. it's one thing for me to call them when i'm drunk to tell them where i am, but i have this big "fear" that they'll be really disappointed if they see me drunk. oh well, drunk is drunk. and my friend's neighbor is smokin' hot, she should be there, most likely drunk.

well i'm going to go play drums for a while, since i had a nap when i came home, i'm completely exhausted. i couldn't pay attention at all today, and all of my teachers told me it would be better if i just went home. unfortunately i didn't want to walk home by myself, so i stayed and slept in class.

spike9908 09-08-2005 06:34 PM

i couldnt have picked a worse day to start work. i had like a hour and a half of homework that i just got done. this year is looking like its gonna be a bitch.

rockindrummer 09-08-2005 06:35 PM

^ What grade?

Ya I know what your saying, it probally will be the same for me.

Win A Rabbit 09-08-2005 06:45 PM

haha my classes are jokes for homework. my teacher gave us 10 questions to do on a 2 page story we read, and told us she'd give us the rest of class (half an hour) to finish them. i did them, and it took me no more than 5 minutes to answer them fully. no one else did them, and no one did the homework, so she said she'd give us an extension, but they were due the next day. she gave us 15 minutes to do them that class, and still no one did them. so we come in today, STILL no one done them, she gives us half an hour to do those questions and another 5 questions from another story. we finally all finish (after everyone works in a big group and copies from 1 person) and then we talked aboutr capital punishment the rest of class.

Hey Jim, could you please unban D41LYBR34Dm4n? One of his friend got on his account and posted the nasty pic. He had told him that one of the user here was being annoying, and his friend took the retarded initiative to post the **********.

Yeah this is me posting from another screen name. I don't know why you think it was me to just randomly post something retarded like that. I'd really appreciate my name Trilobite unbanned I don't know why that one is, I wanna get rid of D41LYBR34Dm4n.

styler 09-08-2005 07:23 PM

he prolly wouldnt have a problem if he knew it was your friend, but he has no way of knowing...cuz ive gotta say..."it wasnt me, it was my friend" is easily one of the most used excuses on the internet...

Lol I know but I don't know what else to say to explain myself. Just check my previous posts on that name they show NO evidence whatsoever of the behavior my friend demonstrated with that thread.
On a side note I got my new Modern Drummer today!
it always takes forever to get mine... who in this months?

Fuzzy 09-08-2005 07:41 PM

I'm going insane. Due to marching band, I've not been able to PROPERLY play the DWs for any length of time in three days. Holy Jesus, please help me. At least I can play at Jazz Band.

Fuzzy 09-08-2005 07:43 PM

Oh yeah, our first show this year (the first home football game) is tomorrow. I go to school and come back after it's over. We have a practice for a few hours, have a cookout, suit up, and play. It's my first year in marching band, and me, the lucky 4th bass drummer that I am, get to lead the entire band out onto the field. Fun times.

Arcturus 09-08-2005 07:48 PM

I'm in marching band too, I play tuba. Tomorrow's our first game too.

Ethan. 09-08-2005 07:48 PM

I can't figure out a band name.

Fuzzy 09-08-2005 07:52 PM

Drummer Steve Jordan is on the cover with the main interview. Haven't heard of him before, but "The Funkiest Drummer Alive" apeals to me.

Yeah whenever the opposing team kicks off we play blast notes into our instruments to try to mess them up. Are you a freshman?
