ah...i didn't know postcount could be reduced as a punishment. i knew it went down if you had posts in a thread that was deleted though.
you're not exactly far away then 'Tender, i'm in Northumberland, so probably about 2 hours drive away, lol. i think one of my friend's cousins is at Leeds. what course you doing? EDIT: wow, 3 of us posted simultaneously! |
Apparently my guess was wrong :-/
EDIT: Perhaps not wrong. 'Tender: Did you see HHG? |
He got banned and they reduced his postcount as a punishment for making a thread in the pit about cumming in her eye.

He lost alot of posts through a thread deletion.
The answer is one of these, or a combination. I find it hard to believe that I lost that many posts to thread deletion. NP:Becker and Friedman-Black Stallion (very relaxing) |
So the thread in the guitar forum about the dudes fingers almost made me literally sick. Anyone else?
NP:Led Zeppelin-Livin' lovin' maid |
I find it hard to believe DBJ bothered to manually reduce your postcount, though.

And I'm doing Philosophy.
'Tender: Did you see HHG?
Yep. Did you? What did you think? |

NP:Led Zeppelin-Livin' lovin' maid
Not me, I just laughed. |
Yep. Did you? What did you think?
I have yet to see it. I'm a bit aprehensive about it, really :-/ Random Upload: Theatres Des Vampires - Dominions I got turned onto this in Tab talk and it's pretty good. Some kind of Gothic metal, or some such. Has anyone ever heard of them? |
You're right to be apprehensive about the Guide film. I didn't like it much, but I'd still recommend seeing it..I won't say more for now, until you've seen it :)
And yeah, I think I've heard of Theatres Des Vampires, as something that Justin Broadrick was involved in before he really started concentrating on Jesu. Not as a full member of the band or anything though. Thanks for the song. |
Now I'm really worried :(
One thing I want to know; What was Mos Def like? |
Very American/Canadian, and yet still claiming to be from Guildford. I got the impression he hadn't actually read the books beforehand :-/ Some of the lines/scenes he had just didn't seem to work.
Basically, don't go seeing it expecting a dramatisation of the book. The basic concept and characters are there, but the plot has been somewhat torn apart, added to, taken away from, changed, etc. I want to avoid using negative words like "mangled" because the changes aren't necesssarily negative (i.e. it might still be likeable as a film separate from the books), but from the perspective of a fan of the books, it isn't the Guide. |

The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy. Or perhaps it isn't :( |
Joe: Haircuts = Bad
Not so. A lot of long-haired friends of mine like it better with short hair, because having long hair when you're white is, from what they have said, a greasy pain in the ass. Next week is my last week of school and then I'm out for the summer....and I have no idea what I'm doing this summer. By the way, my girlfriend's brother is going with her, so I feel 100% better now. All signs point to him being a good protective older brother. Question to the big guitar players here: what pickups are better, Texas Specials or Noiseless Pickups? |
The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.
Or perhaps it isn't :(
i was thinking of going to see that. i've only read part of the first book though. |
I never read the books. Infact, I don't even know what the books are about :(
|

I think your best bet is to see the film, then read the books. You must, however, read the books at some point. They really should be required reading at every single school. |
I was never keen on the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy...it was okay, but a little too "British" for me.
|

They really should be required reading at every single school.
yeh, they definitely should be required reading. lately i've been reading a lot of heroic action fantasy type stuff, by David Gemmell. i've read every book he's written so far, bar the one that hasn't been published yet. |
I don't mind washing my hair though. :p
Doesn't it just take a long time, though? And a long time to dry? I dunno. Speaking of hair, I'm worried about my girlfriend meeting my mom (which might happen this summer)...my mom holds a prejudice against blondes for whatever reason, and my gf is an upbeat blonde from California, so at least superfically I suppose she would do nothing to dispel the stereotype. It'll probably work out fine in the end, though. I still don't know what to do this summer...I have like, three and a half months that are basically free. |
Your first sentence is absolutely illogical. You give me an example of getting around a law and people would say it's okay. "Yeah, I raped and murdered that woman, but at least she enjoyed it before she died." That's approaching CemetaryGates level, and I have a much, much higher respect for you than that, and I think it's just fucking ridiculous that you're getting so pissed over something so trivial.
 I don't really care what level of respect you have for me, and i'm not really pissed. And your analogy is terrible.
I mean, come on, what's the difference between an entire album being uploaded with twelve separate links or one zipped file? There is none.
So? Law is the law. You made the rule, then state exactly what you meant.
And other members just "know" because you are the only one who has tried to bullshit around the rules, and it needed to be brought to attention.
But it didn't. You didn't do anything other than argue with me on how I was wrong.
So, yeah. You don't have to buy it, but everyone else has.
Ok? I don't really give a shit what anyone else thinks. You're the one making this a big deal. Anyways, i'm done with this arguement. |
Did you even read what I said?
No, I didn't, thats why I replied to it |
Hello all
SUP MY PEEPS |
Doesn't it just take a long time, though? And a long time to dry? I dunno.
Maybe, I don't mind spending a long time in the shower though, and yeah, you can always dry your hair with the hair dryer thing, goes fast.
No, I didn't, thats why I replied to it
You said : I respect rules. Finding loopholes in rules doesn't show a lot of respect. I didn't expect this from you Ramsey. |
You said : I respect rules. Finding loopholes in rules doesn't show a lot of respect. I didn't expect this from you Ramsey.
How is that not respect? What defines "respect" in your book? Obeying them, no? I obeyed them. I didn't "find" a loophole, it was there. Antihero and the mods didn't outline it clearly. SIGH! Ok, you know what? I'm sorry, sorry, sorry. I'm sorry antihero, and i'm sorry mods. Ok? |
Tut tut. Ramsey's getting a telling off. Thank god for Mr Superpeer the teacher.
|
Ok, glad to see you know you're wrong.
|
Ok, glad to see you know you're wrong.
No. I still think i'm right. I'm apologising because I know either of you are too stuck up to apologise back and this trivial fight will go on forever, so i'd rather be the man in the argument and end it now rather than having to fight with you two forever. |
In regards to the HHG movie: That's kinda how it was with the LOTR movies too. Good movies, but not the books. My friends hated the LOTR movies because they weren't true to the books but I didn't mind so much so hopefully it's the same with HHG.
In regards to respecting rules: Rules are made to be broken, so as long as it's minor infractions I think we can chill out on this. In regards to me: I got my thing done, so as long as I attend my classes, do my work and take my finals I shouldn't lose my scholarship. I think that's good. However the best part of the day was clearly free cheesecake. I love cheesecake. |
