The NPC 01-28-2005 02:51 PM
I highly doubt NPC can defeat the mighty plexi. Med was telling me the other day how supposedly a third of Australia is IP banned because of mx's feverish attempts to get rid of them. it may not be true, but it's pretty funny all the same.
Well anyone can be taken care of, it's just the methods to get rid of someone are time consuming depending on the situation.

Iai 01-28-2005 02:51 PM
I never promised to get rid of him. Besides the means of doing so take way too much time. I just said that he'll be shut off sooner or later which has actually happened, since MX has blocked off much of his access and like wise alot of users Tasmania.
I'm just repeating what I've been told in the Site forum. I was barely aware of the existence of any forum other than CD Reviews when all this happened.
I was modded because the Pit was a mess back in August of 2004.
Though so. It was just after I started becoming an active member. Didbn't you have a Spock avatar at the time?

pinkyeti 01-28-2005 02:54 PM

Why did plexi start to sabotage the forums in the first place? I once fell for one of the links he posted, but nobody ever explained me why he does what he does.

1) I see.

2) Probably.

To Z:

Poopy, I felt was more respectful than simply calling them Metallishit or Metallifuckingsucksassandballs.

Poopy is also a nicer thing to say.
Post plenty of thread-spawning links in The Pit, post tubgril in The Pit, hack the site a few times.....he's generally considered a legend in The Pit, but he broke so many rules that he kept getting banned. He's been IP banned about 4 times, but they just can't get rid of him.

One of the reasons NPC was modded was because he promised that he could get rid of him. Or so I've been told.
I remember way back plexi was a mod.. A very good mod.. Untill he decided he hated mx

That was a slow process. At first he was just annoyed.

Tangy zizzle 01-28-2005 08:58 PM

My gosh you've gotten fat.

Go on, ban me.

YDload 01-28-2005 09:00 PM

Zappa, is your avatar from some sort of cult comic book? I can't figure!

Zappa 01-28-2005 09:02 PM
Zappa, is your avatar from some sort of cult comic book? I can't figure!
It's from one of the most celebrated comics of all time, Watchmen. Watchmen was a 12-issue miniseries released by DC (!) in 1986, and it has often been called the greatest comic book of all time. I am currently reading it, and loving the shit out of it. The character pictured is Rorschach, one hell of a badass.

Bartender 01-28-2005 09:09 PM

It's being made into a film right now, apparently. Pre-production, anyway. I hope they don't screw it up too badly.

Tangy zizzle 01-28-2005 09:12 PM

Sin City, Dark Knight Series, 80's Wolverine > Watchmen.

Zappa 01-28-2005 09:12 PM
It's being made into a film right now, apparently. Pre-production, anyway. I hope they don't screw it up too badly.
The way the story is told in the comics themselves, it might as well be a movie already. I actually sort of think putting it on film would be redundant.

Does that make any sense?

pixiesfanyo 01-28-2005 09:13 PM

Sin City movie looks dope.

Preacher is my favorite comic.

Zappa 01-28-2005 09:16 PM
Sin City, Dark Knight Series, 80's Wolverine > Watchmen.
The fact that you put those 3 up, but don't mention "Batman: Year One" clearly shows that your brain is warped.

And I'm digging Watchmen more than I've dug any comic before, including the above mentioned Frank Miller favorite.

YDload 01-28-2005 09:16 PM

Tangy sounds like a Frank Miller fan.

Bartender 01-28-2005 09:21 PM

Kind of, I suppose, but you know the majority of people are far too lazy to read it. It's not so much redundancy that I think could be a problem, though; as far as I can tell, Terry Gilliam (who's shown interest over the last 15 years or so in making Watchmen into a film, and would likely take real care in transferring it to film) has nothing to do with it, and seeing it turned into just another comic book inspired action movie would be a shame. Not to mention the detail and length of the books that the film(s) will have to cover.
