I've been listening to Newton Battenberg Faulkner recnetly, and he's awesome. Not much more than a kid from south London, he has some amazing acoustic skills. Check it out:

Just watch the video and you'll see his talent.

cbmartinez 06-16-2005 06:12 PM

I'm digging In Case We Die, particulary "Wishbone" and "Maybe You Can Owe Me."

Iai 06-16-2005 06:46 PM

Nothing that surprising, really. I think Kraftwerk's new record is the bomb, but you knew that, right? ;)

Oh, actually, I did listen to both Interpol - Antics and Black Star - Black Star today. I enjoyed Black Star muchly - it's such a great night-time record. As for Interpol, I still think they're awesome to listen to for about 5 songs, then they get boring.

YDload 06-16-2005 11:29 PM

Has anyone ever listened to any Foetus stuff? You know, the Scraping Foetus Off the Wheel guy?
That's a really great record, isn't it?
I enjoy it muchly, i tend to like him as a sax band leader more than say the likes of coltrane on many of his records, though that may seem blasphemous...

how does Prayers on Fire stand up next to other Birthday Party?
i find it very hard to find thier albums, only have one, despite living in Australia where you'd think Nick Cave would have widest circulation
