Wow, you have a black belt? In what?

I got up to a green belt in Tae Kwon Do before I had to stop.

Eh...technically I think TKD. Hard to say though because we covered tons of styles. I learned some weaponry, judo/jujitsu, mui thai, karate, tkd, escrima, pankration, kickboxing...

It was good times. Nothing like being a natural fighter either...they put me on the sparring team as a green belt...fighting the black belts  One of my highlights was landing a kick in the face of our 6th degree black belt/ex Navy SEAL instructor. :D

Haha. Nice.

My training was from a cheap 4th degree old guy. :p

My mom had wanted us to know basic self-defense, so she signed us up. Only $36 a month. :p

Wow, that is a fantastic price. We were paying more than that by several factors lol. I paid up to Black Belt, but I kept going after and they didn't care because I usually taught anyways. We had tons of great instructors there though, Probably 2 dozen 4th degree or above instructors there. Phenomenal (sp?) program.

Our instruction wasn't really the best though. I was 12 at the time, so I was in the 12 and under group. :-\ I was the oldest, so I was with a bunch of little kids and my brother.

I still have the boards I broke to get up a belt. I kind of remember the Tae-geuks(sp?) too. Oh, I used my old tae kwon do suit last halloween because it was last minute. It was kind of small on me, but it worked. :p

Hehe, poor kids. I always took as many kids into the adult group as I could...but sometimes it was too graphic a lesson to give kids :-x

We didn't have to break boards until black belt, which was too bad. I'm not too good at it. :-\ Except my sidekick. I went through 4 of those no issue...and they couldn't hold more :( I still have my uniform down here on the offchance I want to work out or something. But the pants are like the comfiest ever omg. I love them.

DJ Ducksauce 02-08-2006 12:05 AM

We played dodgeball in the kid's group.:p

We just did a knifehand(?) on a wooden board. It actually wasn't hard. For gold belt though, I think it was just some kick down onto it. They had cinder blocks to hold them for that.

Permanent Solution 02-08-2006 12:07 AM

Haha, we did games like that too. But the games were so much more intense when the adults joined in :D

Ew, knifehand hurts :-\ I prefered palm. It's not too difficult though, no. We had some insane fun ones though...I did an Axe Kick at one test, it was sweet. I messed up the first time though and ow! :(

DJ Ducksauce 02-08-2006 12:11 AM

Haha. I bet. We used the really soft balls that don't go anywhere when you throw them though. The kind that you play with in water and soak up.

Knifehand wasn't too bad. I think we actually did a punch once...

Permanent Solution 02-08-2006 12:18 AM

Medicine balls ftw <_<

I doubt it. SO many kids would break their wrist. The onlt guys who did punches were higher up black belts. That 6th degree guy did a 1 inch punch :amaze:

haha, that must have been fun.

These wooden boards are probably no more than an inch thick though. Not very tough either.

Eh, still. Its hella easy to break your wrist punching. the wrist is weak.

EDIT: Damnit, I think Gaby went to bed :(

DJ Ducksauce 02-08-2006 12:26 AM

I guess, I don't think anyone did though.

She not picking up?

Permanent Solution 02-08-2006 12:28 AM

Eh...I texted her like 30 mins ago asking if she had her homework under control or not and didn't get a reply...I don't want to just call :-\

DJ Ducksauce 02-08-2006 12:31 AM

oic

I'm not too far from being done with my homework though. :D

Noice.

But eh, it's only 12:30...I hope she's not asleep..I'ma just call I think.

I may or may not be back soon depending.

EDIT: Phone's off, so she's asleep or on the phone :-\

Oh well :(

DJ Ducksauce 02-08-2006 12:41 AM

I usually go to bed around 10:30-11:00 if I can. Otherwise I sleep in 2nd period. Not that I don't anyways, but you get the point. I try not to stay up past 11 on school days if I can avoid it.

Permanent Solution 02-08-2006 12:43 AM

I stay up till 1sh since I don't have class till 1040 *shrug*

I could make my note sheet for my test tomorrow, but I'll do it during lunch or not at all...my motivation is sapped.

DJ Ducksauce 02-08-2006 12:44 AM

Mine is always sapped. I procrastinate all of the time. Like now. I should have done this over the week end. I'm lazy.

Permanent Solution 02-08-2006 12:46 AM

Eh, I'm lazy too, no biggie.

In all honesty I should be way more ahead than I am. :-\

I'ma play some guitar now though, night dude.

DJ Ducksauce 02-08-2006 12:50 AM

Night Vince.

I think I'll finish off and sleep finally.

Dead Star 02-08-2006 06:39 AM

DJ Ducksauce 02-08-2006 06:44 AM

Sup guys?

Dead Star 02-08-2006 06:45 AM

Hay Justin, I'm off school again.

I can walk ok today, but I felt like another day off.

What about you?

Ross 02-08-2006 06:48 AM

Being off college FTW.

Having flu though, sucks.

B 02-08-2006 06:51 AM

I'm going to school in about 10-15 minutes.

Dead Star 02-08-2006 06:52 AM

Yeah, I was up to 1 last night too, but mainly because I could sleep in today.

DJ Ducksauce 02-08-2006 06:53 AM

I got 5 hours of sleep total. :-\

B 02-08-2006 06:53 AM

I'm trying to dry my hair so it doesn't freeze when I go outside. I mean, hair icicles are cool but not when it makes my hair go all weird :p.

DJ Ducksauce 02-08-2006 06:55 AM

It's not cold down here really. It was actually realy warm in the afternoon yesterday. I want snow.

Has your hair actually ever frozen Brandon?

Dead Star 02-08-2006 06:55 AM

Hep Kat 02-08-2006 07:10 AM

I'm supposed to be doing something in French now.

But, to hell with that.

DJ Ducksauce 02-08-2006 07:11 AM

Nice. I'm getting my crap together for school.

Hep Kat 02-08-2006 07:15 AM

I'm listening to blink 182 through my school's computer.

My moronic teacher thinks it's French music from a website I'm on
