I haven't heard/used that phrase in atleast 2 years. I laughed when I heard it, but then I grew up and stopped laughing. :(

Tonight the boys actually bought a "chick" drink, just for me [well, they liked it too, but yeah].

****, dude, Bicardi Silver with the strawberry flavoring doesn't even TASTE like alcohol. It's just really tastey. Finished the whole bottle, all by myself, in a pretty good amount of time [I wasn't rushin' or nothin', just enjoying it.]

Plus its only 5%, so a whole bottle on an empty stomach still didn't do a damned thing.

Even Nyquil has 10%.

They wanted to get pepperment shnapps, but it would've taken like an hour for them to drive back into town, pick some up and come back.

We have to go way out there to my boyfriend's house, which is in the middle of nowhere. No cops, no chance of being busted, but when the hook-up leaves his ID at said house, it really sucks.

Sounds sweet, but don't get carried away with drinking !

Which is why I appreciate the chick drink. A bottle of Bicardi Silver won't do a thing, not even on an empty stomach. Two probably, one...most definintly not.

I'd rather call my parents and tell them I was drinking so I couldn't drive than attempt driving under the influence.

And so would they.

Man, I took a suicide intervention class on thursday and friday, that's some really tough stuff.

We went through a bunch of theory on it, and I thought I was feeling comfortable with the whole thing, and we started moving into applying the theory. We start out with a video of a scenario where we know this kid's name, what his home is like, what his school life is like, etc, and then roleplay a scenario based on that. Fairly easy.

So by then I think I know what I'm doing. I imagine everyone else in the class did, too.

So we move on. We do a couple more videos followed by scenarios.

Then, the teacher decides to really test us.

Here's the scenario: You're answering phones at a distress line. The phone rings, you pick it up. *BANG* A man says "That was the first barrel of my shotgun. You've got 5 minutes to tell me why the second barrel shouldn't splatter my head against this wall."

What a depressing class that is to take. It helped alot, though.

:lol: In the back of my mind, the first thing I wanted to ask was "if there's a wall, and you're on a phone, I'm assuming you're inside a home. Assuming I persuade you not to blow that second round off, you're going to have a tough time explaining what happened to whoever comes to fix the huge hole in your roof/wall/floor."

And I took the class mainly as a requirement for my work, but it was something I had wanted to take beforehand, so it just gave me that (mandatory) extra reason to take it.

Well, I can't get the New Monsoon thing to upload, but I did get my hands on The Floor's Too Far Away by Ozric Tentacles, so I'm uploading that one now. My connection has sucked lately, hopefully it works.

is it just me or do other people also think once you've heard one ozric tentacles album you've heard them all? ':B

This is the only one I've heard, so I'm not sure. They're kind of tough to download.

Uh, for the most part. I had some trouble forwarding ports, but I managed it recently. Until then, I was dealing with pretty slow dl rates.
