I sent out that bootleg last night.

I think you guys got it.

Fillmore East (late show)

This was later released as Dick's Picks vol. 4 I belive.
That's the email I received....it didn't actually have a link to the album though...

I've been listening to Dylan's debut album a lot lately. His singing and playing is definitely most intense on that album.

NP: Baby Let Me Follow You Down.
Isn't that DP 22? I remember you talking about that one and I own it as well.

My calculus teacher is pretty big into the Dead and Phish.
My science teacher puts on the Dead and Phish some times, and my Art theacher has put on Van Morrison, Queen, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young so far. We got into a big argument over the merrets of Dylan's Live '75. She's one of the few people I know who actually listens to Deep Purple.

Np: La Villa La Strangiato - Rush

I got that e-mail too. And I like Dylan's debut a lot. He sounds so old for a 20 year old.

Thanks a bunch for the Aqualung, Krabs. I've been needing this for a while.

Roy Orbison is amazing. I'd probably start out with a compilation, just because I've never seen a studio release of his in stores. He's got tons of compilations out, and most of them are a great overview of his career, so I'd just pick one of those up. A Black and White Night is an excellent live album that he recorded with some friends just before he died. I'd get that too.

Simon and Garfunkel are so amazing. I think I'll go make a thread on them in Other Music just because I'm bored.

That they are.

I've never seen a full album by Roy, so I'd say get a greatest hits.

np: Dick Dale - Misirlou

NP: Frank Zappa - Broken Hearts Are For Assholes

EDIT: wtf? asshole is blocked and replaced with Spatula?

EDIT2: ahh, A$hole

"When I was younger I wanted to get a tattoo of Roy Orbison, but my mom wouldn't let me." *flashes right buttcheek with said tattoo* "What mama don't know won't hurt her. Keep that in mind." *leaves*

That's about my only knowledge of Roy Orbison though :upset:

I feel like the only person in this thread who has never tripped :upset: :upset:

You're not the only one, I don't do drugs.

Anyone listen to Ryan Adams? He's a relatively new country folk-ish singer songwriter, quite popular in Alt/Indie. Not at all like that modern country crap, he's actually really good. I like him.

Doctor Night 01-25-2006 03:26 PM

I havent done the stuff, but I don't come in here too often.

But, I stocked up on Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton yestday. Man, Reptile is an awesome album.

hatebreeder 01-25-2006 03:30 PM

Ryan adams is pretty good, I went through a whole elliot smith paul simon type phase last year, he's pretty good but a lot of people do the same type of thing.

You Had it Coming.

JonG 01-25-2006 04:10 PM

I got one of those 3 J-Beck CD's for X-Mas.

It was Wired, Blow by Blow and There & Back I believe.

Dick's Picks 30 is about done for me :)

100kb/s on Soulseek = awesome.

MidnightRider 01-25-2006 04:41 PM

I love all the wonderful new drugs I learn about in the CR thread. :) How could I get some of this salvia stuff?

Lately I've been hooked on Exile on Main Street. It took a while, and I really didn't like it at first, but it's really clicked with me now.

I used a crybaby, and I absolutely love it. Then again, I had it modded so it cut back the treble and raised the pitch a little...

I haven't done drugs, I'm not into that kind of stuff.

I'm high on life.

AND JE-SUHS!

Robo: Cool avatar, Bridge Over Troubled Water is my favorite S&G album.
roy orbison
I was reading Chronicles by Bob Dylan today, and he talked quite a bit about Roy Orbison.

/downloads at 3 kb/s :upset: My internet was fast for a day, then it stopped. I didn't even get a chance to download anything, except an iPod updater.

magicbus 01-25-2006 05:38 PM

I need some ABB (yes I said it), preferably Eat A Peach and something else. Eat A Peach is what's been turning me off of them, so even though I'd like to give it another shot, I need something else too.

While we're at it some Flying Burrito Bros. would be cool too (other than Gilded Palace of Sin).

And Grateful Dead's always good.

I normally would do the dirtywork myself, but at college I have no access to my dad's collection, and I don't think I should p2p it.

NP: Neil Young - Southern Man

Broken Arrow 01-25-2006 05:41 PM

So my email didnt even have the link?

The Burritos honestly put out nothing up to par as Glided Palace of Sin. Their later work was really bad, nothing I have enjoyed. I have some on vinyl, nothing as good as Glided.

:\

I might send out DP 30, it has some Bo Diddley with them too.

I like him, but modern country isn't crap really. I just saw him on Austin City Limits a few nights ago. Really boring... heh.

I don't do drugs any more I'm sXe, but I would gladly do Acid or something like that. I'll have to check out this Salvia.

JonG 01-25-2006 06:11 PM

I'm learning the Solo and Outro to Floods by Pantera.

Man, it's beautiful.

Dick's Picks 30 is done.

You know what, you're really pissing me off! I've sent out Eat a Peach twice, and I just sent out a 3-disc Instant Live :tehangerfied:

JonG: I meant to say the last song on Disc 1 one of DP 12, so you sent out the wrong song, sorry :p

magicbus 01-25-2006 06:29 PM

I can always get Eat A Peach from my dad. In fact I'd probably be hesitant to download it if it showed up in my inbox again. Scratch that.

I think If I were to ever try a drug, Salvia would be the one to do. The apparent non addiction factor and limited side effects make it oh so appealing.

Sure, we're still in school. At least we have more of an extended vocabulary and typing skills.

Oh, and by the way, a lot of us are fans of metal too, so shut your fucking face uncle fucker. In the words of Radiohead, we hope that you choke.

Don't report him, I want to have fun with him.

CR regs, for the win. :high fives:
