Theres a few others they won't play because of his born again thing, I can't remember 'em though.
I think another one he won't play is The Conjuring because it's about witch-craft. But oh well. Atleast Megadeth still plays other kick-ass songs like Peace Sells, Hangar 18, Holy Wars..etc.

It's only Good Mourning/Black Friday and The Conjuring.

I was listening to the Conjuring earlier this day, it's not a great song, BF is great but i understand if he doesn't wnt to sing that. But GM, what's the evilness on that song?

Well is a song, but GM is the name of the intro, on Megadeth.com the lyrics are divided in two parts.
I listened to Peace Sells and Countdown To Extinction last night for the first time. I still haven't decided which I like best :\
I love Symphony of Destruction from CtE(i think it's from there correct me if I'm wrong) First Megadeth song i ever heard. Then Hangar 18 then Rust in Peace and then from there i became a Dethnut.:chug:

Yeah, Good Mourning is the introduction to Black Friday, lyrically and musically.

They go together.

heavy metal kid 12-23-2005 08:28 PM

I don't now what's the big deal about beeing Christian and stop playingsome songs, he could easily change the lyrics or make it instrumental.

Apocalyptic Raids 12-23-2005 08:31 PM

That would be crap. You don't mess with those thing.

I would rather not hear it, than hear it with different lyrics or intrumental.

Black Friday would be boring as an intrumental anyway.

iluvkirkhammett 12-23-2005 08:32 PM

I'm going to buy Megdeth's greatest hits album next week, but is it any good?

Apocalyptic Raids 12-23-2005 08:35 PM

It's ok.

You should just buy Rust In Peace and/or Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?.

Noprayer 12-23-2005 09:12 PM

Same here. I don't really think him being Christian should stop him singing it. I mean, it's only words. Tom Araya's a catholic and he still sings about killing.

I would like to see them played live, but in the end it is his choice.

I think that even if he weren't christian, they still wouldn't be in the setlist (At least not on a regular basis anyway).

Nope, hes a full blown catholic now, so no more naughty lyrics if Mr. Mustaine wants to go to heaven. I don't really see the big deal though but it's his choice and they will still rock live.

Skip it and get Rust in Peace.

Most Greatest Hits albums are pointless anyways.

I much prefer CTE to PSBWB...But then again, I really don't like much thrash...

Countdown does have better solos though. Marty owns Poland at guitar.

Lord Abortion 12-24-2005 01:46 PM

I love the Random little Spanish-sounding Guitar bit in High speed dirt.

That's a song to sing along to!

Aw3someman 12-24-2005 03:54 PM

Marty was probably their best lead followed by Pitrelli.

that spanish guitar's in one song on PS...BWB too forgot which one though.

I preferred Poland I have to say.

Bazarov 12-24-2005 04:28 PM

Does anyone happen to have an MD45 song they could send me?

Lord Abortion 12-24-2005 04:29 PM

I have a couple....

Bazarov 12-24-2005 04:30 PM

my email is dervater100@cox.net

If you could send me a song or two, I'd appreciate it.

Really? I think Poland is my second favourite after Marty.
I much prefer CTE to PSBWB...
:/

Aw3someman 12-24-2005 07:05 PM

It's all just opinion anyway. I think Marty's solos really fit Megadeth's style. And he was in Rust in Peace. I just think Pitrelli rocks b/c he's in Savatage now.

Jev 12-25-2005 10:02 AM

I just don't like Marty's stlye as much as Poland. In Cacophony Marty sounded awesome though. Still not as good as Becker, but then again who is?

Poland had the better tone but Marty had better solos.

It's a great album.
