british trace elliot 8x10 > behringer 210.

gaslight 08-16-2009 10:50 AM

Well technically it's two 4x10s :p.

But even one Trace 410 is better than a Behringer anything.

funkyhoney 08-16-2009 10:52 AM

Hahahahah this is true.

Plus, I have a nice selection of basses. I am quite happy.

Epidemechanical 08-16-2009 10:53 AM

gaslight does have 25k posts holy crap though

i probably have close to that

on all the other forums i post on anything less than 100k posts is considered poor but there are no silly rules like post limits

funkyhoney 08-16-2009 10:54 AM

100k is a lot of posts. I like to have a life, and write things a tad more constructive at that level of output.

Epidemechanical 08-16-2009 10:56 AM

most posts on that site dont even contain words you can do what is called "quote posting" with nothing written

but other than that every thread is a casual thats the whole point of the forum so people use it like a chat box most people have between 150k and 200k posts

At least 3 characters, what a joke!!

I can see that, this forum is painfully slow 90% of the time.

Epidemechanical 08-16-2009 11:03 AM

it would really help MX to remove that RETARDED 30 seconds in between posts count or whatever

funkyhoney 08-16-2009 11:04 AM

No if you got rid of that people would spam everywhere!! Even more than they do now!! How would they manage.

Epidemechanical 08-16-2009 11:06 AM

yeah cause spam is a real problem mx faces =/

gaslight 08-16-2009 11:11 AM

As much as MX may have changed from what it was, I enjoy it so much more in the state it is in now.

funkyhoney 08-16-2009 11:19 AM

I sort of agree... but at the same time it's still 99% a drain of time when I could be being productive.

gaslight 08-16-2009 11:20 AM

That's your problem though not MX's .

funkyhoney 08-16-2009 11:21 AM

Yeah I need to like.. clean my house. And get those blogs running.

Epidemechanical 08-16-2009 11:26 AM

yeah MX is pretty cool now in the instrument forums

its way too ****ing slow i'd appreciate some increased traffic

funkyhoney 08-16-2009 11:29 AM

Maybe we should start spamming other forums with MX adverts.

Most of the new traffic is annoying people though.

Epidemechanical 08-16-2009 11:34 AM

well like 90% of the posting population here aren't even musicians i honestly dont think a single pit poster does anything other than smoke weed and copy and paste memes from better sites

funkyhoney 08-16-2009 11:38 AM

This is pretty much true. We all love weed and memes though!

gaslight 08-16-2009 11:39 AM

No new people.

fatbandit 08-16-2009 01:12 PM

I don't like weed or memes.

m-dirnt_fan101 08-16-2009 01:49 PM

OMG they still have the pit?

brb

Spaceman Spiff 08-16-2009 02:20 PM

What's a meme?

Epidemechanical 08-16-2009 02:22 PM

spiff i decided i will listen to your new album.

now send it.

fatbandit 08-16-2009 02:30 PM

I have horrible GAS for a matamp :(

Spaceman Spiff 08-16-2009 08:52 PM

We're mixing. It should be done by next weekend.

If you want a copy you can have one.

BenJammin 08-16-2009 10:24 PM

I want to do something new, musically, but I don't know what. Not that I'm unsatisfied working with Jeremy on H&S, but I need something new on the side for myself to entertain myself.

funkyhoney 08-16-2009 10:28 PM

A punk band, is the obvious solution.

gaslight 08-16-2009 10:37 PM

Do some solo stuff.

BenJammin 08-16-2009 10:53 PM
Do some solo stuff.
I've been doing solo (bass, and otherwise) stuff for years. That, in and of itself, is not necessarily anything new... I dunno.

Maybe I need to learn how to write songs, and sing.

gaslight 08-16-2009 11:04 PM

Sure, everyone should work on their vocal ability.

Try challenge yourself to put a song together, vocals, music, everything, nothing but what you can do all at the same time. You know, just stripped back, guitar and vocals. That's probably the most daunting thing for me, it's one of the surest tests of songwriting ability to be able to hold everything together like that and keep it compelling and interesting.
