How many Megadeth albums have you heard?

I know those are your favorites, but Crush 'em and Insomnia aren't posted very often on favorites lists.

There was a concert over here, Manchester I think, where the ticket company had printed the name wrong on every ticket. Needless to say Dave was pissed.

I can't really imagine dave pissed. He seems far too mellow.

Hmm, after reading most of this thread i see that most people hear mostly old stuff (KIMB - RIP) but really i think they upholded their image pretty well as apposed to other bands (metallica :().
I agree that their old stuff is amazing, but CTE,Youth and Cryptic are great albums as well.. (Risk and TWNAH could have been better)
And as far as TSHF... wow some really good material, kicks the ****ing **** out of st.anger...

Yeah you pretty much nailed it there.

They did go away from their Thrash images with CTE and Youthanasia, but they are still quality albums. And obviously Thash > General Metal so yeah everyone prefers early megadeth.

MAthiAS 10-02-2005 09:52 AM

Its all great except Risk, just the thrash is better.

I still hold that Cryptic Writings is their best non-thrash album.

Really?

I have listened to it a few times and just can't get into it at all. Can you name a few good tracks I can listen to to change my mind.

RustedPieces 10-02-2005 09:58 AM

Trust, She-Wolf, Almost Honest, FFF.. Those are my favorites.
Trust, She-Wolf, Almost Honest, FFF.. Those are my favorites.
I just listened to FFF, do some parts of the riffs remind you of motorbreath by metallica?

clairvoyant 10-02-2005 10:25 AM

Yep, cause the riff basically is the Motorbreath riff.

Enlighten Me 10-02-2005 10:57 AM
