My sister and I used to tease our mom saying she smoked pot in college and anytime she did something stupid it was the pot coming back to her, but one night during dinner one of us made a joke about it and she broke down and confessed that she did try it. It never occured to us that she actually ever tried it and we both stared at her for like a minute in silence.

My dad used to drink like I do now, so I feel validated.
