I talked to this guy from South Africa once on soulseek, he was pretty cool. He was in a band called Sleeping At The Popes I think.

Iron Bug 02-09-2006 05:48 PM

Dude, I get nothing but foregin people downloading from me on soulseek.

DaveToopes 02-09-2006 05:50 PM

I have been PM'd by some Spanish guys, I tried to talk to them in Spanish, but I have only learned so much in Spanish class. It was fun trying to keep up in a conversation though.

asdf 02-09-2006 05:53 PM

I don't really talk to too many random people on soulseek, but back in the free napster days my brother and I talked to a lot of people. He made friends with this kid in New York that was a big Residents fan, and they've been keeping up ever since, and that was over 4 years ago.

sketchyjoe 02-09-2006 05:54 PM

There're some cool guys on Soulseek. I always used to talk to this guy with loads of obscure 80s hardcore about all the bands he saw in the 80s.
I know that you guys love Outback Steakhous, amirite?
I've never been :amaze: but I love steak. There's no good steak places around here, so I usually just bbq my own.

I'm actually getting into cooking, it's fun.

IamtheTarMonster! 02-09-2006 06:35 PM

yea steak is pretty great. its great working in butcher shop/grocery store cause of all the good food. man, i havent been in this forum in a long time. i used to post semi-often but then i stoped for a while. its good to be back.

I love cooking.

pedro durruti 02-09-2006 06:41 PM

Most of the time when I talk to strangers on Soulseek, they're either from Scandinavian countries orr South America

What the f'uck is with the second guy with the green hair :amaze:

There are some really awful haircuts there. Oh my.

Brain Toad 02-09-2006 07:11 PM

On the subject of random people PMing on Soulseek. This happened a long time ago, my username was NICKJOE back then.

[thomas_berliner] hey pd
[thomas_berliner] yo
[NICKJOE] ello
[thomas_berliner] coment vas ami insomniaque
[NICKJOE] ahhhhhhh forgeigner
[thomas_berliner] putain
[NICKJOE] putain to you too buddy

I've started talking to more 'random' people lately, but not in PMs. I sometimes chat in the plan it x room and in the chat room for people with over 20K files.

On the subject of steak, Tahoe Joe's is probably my favorite steakhouse, but Outback is also really good. I loathe Black Angus though.

Glitterati 02-09-2006 07:23 PM
I loathe Black Angus though.
My parents almost named me Angus.

Lol. Your new nickname is Gus.

Brain Toad 02-09-2006 07:25 PM

My mom almost named me Ralph

Liebensaft 02-09-2006 07:26 PM

My mom almost aborted me. She says I'm her favorite mistake.
My mom almost aborted me. She says I'm her favorite mistake.
I wish she would've went through with it.

coheneran 02-09-2006 07:28 PM

I didn't have a name til half an hour before I was circumcised. That's like three and a half days without a name. They chose to name me Eran because one of my mum's friends knew a guy in her university course that was called Eran. I love the amount of thought my parents put into my name.

Luckily the coathanger just stabbed you in the brain rather than anywhere that's important to you.

Anarcho Poser 02-09-2006 07:29 PM

So I was in spanish class today, and my teacher said something about simple plan being "un poco punk," so I was all, "No, Black Flag [I happened to be wearing that shirt today] es un poco punk. Simple Plan es un poco Pussyroc!" And everyone laughed, because I had just said pussy to my spanish teacher.

I'm so punx

Thank the good lord Jesus and his blessed mother, Mary high above.

coheneran 02-09-2006 07:33 PM

When I first got shroomed, all my friends started walking backwards and asking me why I was walking the wrong way. It didn't confuse me, it was just so annoying.

I remember my french book had a part on styles of dress and it was from the 80s so it had a little guy with a mohawk, leather jacket and shirt that said "No Future" and he was called 'le punk'

trumpeter 02-09-2006 07:37 PM

Brain Toad...you for some reason remind me of the band The Toadies.

coheneran 02-09-2006 07:37 PM

Should have been called 'le poseur'.

Brain Toad 02-09-2006 07:41 PM
Brain Toad...you for some reason remind me of the band The Toadies.
I started skateboarding today.

I can drop in on the miniramp, and I am going to learn to shred it.

Brain Toad 02-09-2006 08:42 PM

I thought about picking up skateboarding as a means of transportation because I hate running to class in the morning from the bus stop.

Hot chxi for hot lesbian action.

One day I'll get off my lazy *** and learn to drive and some how gain ownsership of a car.

Nerdcore753 02-09-2006 08:58 PM

I thought about picking up hot chix as a means of starting a riot grrl! band to get famous.

That was my plan. Somehow I ended up with 4 senior geeky guys, and playing estradasphere songs.

Weird how things turn out.
When I first got shroomed, all my friends started walking backwards and asking me why I was walking the wrong way. It didn't confuse me, it was just so annoying.
I had my first psilocybin experience last night (I refuse to use the "s" word). It was ok, we just played harmonica and walked around in the snow.

In other news, I broke my right index finger and it's hard to type, among other things.
