Loser 02-09-2007 04:03 PM

Yeah, usually when I think of something and think "I should write that down" and I don't write it down, I forget it.

If you think you should write something down, drop everything (except old people -- their bones are fragile) and write it down.

TimJim 02-09-2007 04:05 PM

Gah. I need to find my SD1 Generals. I let a friend borrow them to click and keep time with during band class sectionals, and I had to leave early. I don't want to play rock and bust up my brand new SD2 Boleros or my SD12 Swizzle G's. :(

the_pure_drummer 02-09-2007 04:47 PM

night mx have fun argueing(sp)!

Jezen 02-09-2007 04:52 PM

What the hell is a swizzle?

Undisco Kidd 02-09-2007 05:03 PM

SD1 with a spun felt ball on the but.

It plays wonderfully as a mallet for cymbal swells and such, gets some great noises out of my floor tom, and the drumstick tip is great for accents and such on bells when you're doing cymbal work. I wouldn't use it as a regular stick, but it could easily work as one.

Jezen 02-09-2007 05:07 PM

It sounds like a word Snoop Dogg would use.

Brokensticks 02-09-2007 05:10 PM

I hate Snoop Dogg with a passion.

Futuro 02-09-2007 05:11 PM

I once had a bitch named Mandy May
Used to be up in them guts like everyday
The pussy was the bomb, had a nigga on sprung
I was in love like a mutha****a lickin' the protung
The homies used to tell me that she wasn't no good
But I'm the maniac in black, Mr. Snoop Eastwood
So I figure niggaz wouldn't trip with mine
Guess what? Got gaffled by one time
I'm back to the mutha****in' county jail
6 months on my chest, now it's time to bail
I get's released on a hot sunny day
My nigga D.O.C. and my homey Dr Dre
Scooped in a coupe, Snoop we got news
Your girl was trickin' while you was draped in your county blues
I ain't been out a second
And already gotta do some mutha****in chin checkin
Move up the block as we groove down the block
See my girl's house, Dre, pass the glock
Kick in the do', I look on the flo'
It's my little cousin Daz and he's ****in' my hoe, yo
(Bitches ain't ****)
I uncocked my ****...I'm heart-broke but I'm still loc'ed
Man, **** a bitch!

bout da struggle sho nuff

Jezen 02-09-2007 05:13 PM

Oh man, "Pass the Glock". Hahaha That's just retarded

Futuro 02-09-2007 05:15 PM

I think a few years ago some indie-rock band did a good cover of that song.

I forget who it was.

When I saw Ben Folds at Muncie he played Bitches aint Shit. Incredible.

And I will admit, I know the words by heart.

Boleros are my favorite stick for everthing. I wish the bead was bigger though.

Fuckin' serious? Lol, even the slightly confuzzled sealion ****? Lol they really don't bring a whole lot to the rap/hip-hop cause. I don't mind me some hiphop, like The Roots and ATCQ, and even some Snoop Doog shizz, but those lyrics are just crap.

Yeah. I got them yesterday and wasnt huge on them, but the more I play them the more I love them.

I do, though, wish the tip was bigger. It produces brilliant cymbal sounds, but it isn't quite powerful enough for floortoms.

Gotta love the maple though.

Undisco Kidd 02-09-2007 06:20 PM

I've been working out of Advanced Techniques for the modern drummer lately. I gotta say, I love the fact that Chapin put in stuff on the middle note of triplets. They seem awfully neglected in jazz druming, unless used in a full 3 note triplet.

double stroke roller 02-09-2007 06:26 PM

I'm trying to get used to the generals but always switch back mid practice. I know what you mean about the floor tom.

CasB 02-09-2007 08:44 PM

Good night all. I feel that I'm still a bit ill...I didn't drink that much tonight but still I'm tipsy :p

Berk 02-09-2007 08:56 PM

poopoogaypoon 02-09-2007 10:28 PM

drummerdave 02-09-2007 10:30 PM

Has anyone seen pricing for the 3007s yet?

Pearldrumguy 02-09-2007 10:34 PM

The more I learn the more I realize my style and music i like. I'm starting to drift from rock because its so basic. I like world music and jazz, plus funk how the snare is every where and so dynamically played. I think my style will be similar to David Garibaldi. I'm working through the groove essentials dvd then through the David Gariabldi book. The funky beat. Also through a brush technique book. I love complex sounding rhythms played musically. I also realized that the middle triplet is not played in jazz a lot unless it is a full triplet.

Awesome man, I love that groove stuff, but I love to put it into heavy style music, giving the whole progressive feel. Its all good.

TimJim 02-09-2007 11:02 PM

i personally like playing metal, cause everything else(including funk) is too easy for me

Jezen 02-09-2007 11:03 PM

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :lol::lol::lol:

Oh man, you are obsurdly amusing.
