It took roughly the same amount of time for the Budokan dvd to come out so I dont see why not.

willis2441 04-02-2006 02:56 AM

overture 1928 is an amazing instrumental

Clunge 04-02-2006 04:10 AM

So then... I have:

Images And Words
Octavarium
ToT
Scenes From A Memory

What do I get next?

I would go with Six Degrees of Inner Turbulance. That whole first cd amazes me, the second cd, not as much as the first. Definately worth a buy.

Jev 04-02-2006 06:10 AM

A bit late but damn Genuine that show sounds awesome. I hope you took the banner :p

HNLzero 04-02-2006 06:39 AM

Boston show was still good too. :upset:

Jev 04-02-2006 06:42 AM

Any DT show is good. Unless they all die.

temporary 04-02-2006 08:58 AM

Wow, I can't wait for the DVD, although I'm kind of suprised that they played UAGM instead of Take the Time. Still though, The Spirit Carries On, all of Six Degrees, and Octavarium with an orchestra sounds pretty sweet. Shame they didn't do Learning to Live, though.

Jev 04-02-2006 11:28 AM

Wicked. I hope it's on there :D

Clunge 04-02-2006 11:38 AM

I managed to get my hands on Six Degrees and A Change Of Seasons today. I got them for 9 quid for both .

I'll have a look for a Awake sometime.

Either Scenes From A Memory, Images & Words or Octarvarium.

Clunge 04-02-2006 11:55 AM

Octavarium = My fave out of all I have.

GET THAT :O.

ever eeking always rupert 04-02-2006 11:58 AM

Note: I could afford three of them :)

Get the three Triangle recommended.
Note: I could afford three of them :)
1. Images and Words
2. Scenes From a Memory
3. Awake

Those are my favs, although you can't go wrong with Six Degrees or Octavarium, either.

Where on the scale would you place ToT?

Jev 04-02-2006 12:37 PM

To me it's one of their poorer albums, just above Falling into Infinity but it's still brilliant.

ever eeking always rupert 04-02-2006 12:44 PM

Right. Thanks for the input fellows. Today I will purchase SFAM, I&W and Awake.

Lord Abortion 04-02-2006 12:50 PM

You lucky, lucky sod.

NP-Octavarium

classicrockman 04-02-2006 12:57 PM

"Under a Glass Moon" will be awesome on the DVD. Was their an orchestra for the whole rest of the show after intermission.

Clunge 04-02-2006 04:08 PM

Oohh, any eta for the DVD? My DT passion has multiplied significantly in the last month.

After the intermission the Orchestra came on. They started the second disk of 6DOIT and were then joined by the rest of DT. The whole second set, minus the encore was done with the orchestra.

I must have misspelled Portnoy and MX must have found the spelling to be vulgar.

It was an honor to be blinded by Petrucci. Im hoping some of his talent was tranfered to me during that moment.

I'm sure Mike must be rivalling Hellhammer for the title of "Metal drummer with the most side projects" by now.

My pictures of the band with the orchestra didn't come out so great, but here's a little teaser anyway: here

It's always so hard to take pictures when you're not in the front row. Use the flash and either people's heads light up in front of you or the stage is too dark; use without the flash and the picture's blurry.

My upload speed blows, so maybe tomorrow I'll YSI some video clips.

It'll be about the same wait as the Budokan dvd took to come out.

By the way, I had some soup from the Soup Man in Penn station. Its based off of the Soup Nazi.

I didnt take the train in. My dad wanted to drive. We almost had car problems along the way and I was freaking out.

Did you have to order the soup a certain way?

Thats cool

Guess what guys. I may become the new guitarist for a band at my high school. What makes this super sweet is that they are opening up for Dream Theater and Spocks Beard in August.

If I get this position, you will be seeing less of me until the gig.

Im off to work on my chops. Peace...
