mastertarium?? :confused: never heard of it

No guys, its a live recording, apparently it was done at Summer Sanitarium 2000. If you don't know, when Metallica perform Master Of Puppets, they always end it before the solo, apparently because Kirk can't play the solo properly anymore. So what they did during Master, when it got to the solo, the echoed the 'Master....master' (when hetfield's voice gets lower and lower) and there is like a second or silence then they go into Sanitarium. They play Sanitarium and just as the Sanitarium solo is done (after the heavy part) they skillfully go straight back into Master Of Puppets (the verse after the MoP solo). The transition is very smooth and sounds so good, the distortion throughtout the song is great :thumb: you can download it off of Kazaa.

thats not true i saw metallica live at the forum during their madly in anger tour this year and they played master of puppets perfectly kurt may not be as good as he was but he can still rock!!!!

i mean that's not true that kirk cant play the solo i believe u about mastertarium and now i wanna hear cause ppl say it's good

Oh man, trust me..kirk still rocks. Just the other day, I, from an "unknown" source, was listening to him mess around on the guitar in the studio, it was recorded within the lasy year, maybe it was just that tour? I don't know. Well, does anyone know of news of a new album?

how do u think metallica would be different if cliff hadn't died.... r.i.p...... he rocked he had one of the most gifted minds in terms of writing/playing and there wouldn't be all these jason vs. cliff threads

O ya and i think that Metallica would be so much better if Cliff hadnt died but you see then we pry wouldnt have had the same AJFA or black album or load or reload and we pry wouldnt even have a st. anger. I think that they would have a completely different sound. But then again in a way jason kinda pushed the band in a different direction becuase he had a different playing style than Cliff (R.I.P). Anyway thats just my opinion.

With all do respect, Cliff Burton..may he rest easy...was a great bass player..an amazing bass player. If he didn't die, it would be different, way different. I think Newsted though, is an awesome player, AMAZING! Without Jason, we wouldn't have a "Blackened". I can't really say what it would be like if that ice wasn't on that road. It sure would be different though. I'm sad Jason left too..he had his reasons..I kinda agree with him..in a way..

Bob would suggest taking out the solo's and Zakk would beat him into a pulp with a length of pipe. And then I'd laugh, because the image of someone getting beaten with a length of pipe by Zakk Wylde is really funny.

what does everybody think of the song "struggle within"?

I never really listened to the end of the black album but ever since I did I've been obsessed with that song...especially the riff right after the solo...awesome song.
