I disagree with them.

I do however think you should step abit more into your role , and stop giving out freebies. IF someone breaks a rule , or pisses you of , Ban em :thumb:

^ Eh, maybe in the Pit, but not here. This forum is SO easy going when you compare it to the Pit...I close threads about once every 5 minutes there. It's insane. Here, we have this unwritten rule of warnings and such. It's a whole different environment here.

Plus, I can't ban someone of they piss me off. That's biased. Certain users with their spam are beginning to annoy me, but I can't do anything major about it until they create a large problem.

Examples: Riouken and Dubyajoe. We could've banned them for a few days but decided not to, since Alex and I (Jorge wasn't on AIM at the time) decided their "JOKE" thing would get old...

Raiven...I just don't know what his problem is.

I sort of feel the same way now , there a far to many people who just post to up there postcount. If someone ask's a question , they deserved for it to be answerd , not for someone to say " I Like Cheese and Crackers "

I'm not saying to make any drastic changes , It's just getting a little tiering.

Well, when you're an authority figure, sometimes you have to be a bit more assertive than you would normally...I'm the same old Gav in posting this right now, but when something needs to be done, I can get pretty harsh. That's just how things are run. Every mod on the site is that way.

Perfect example: Wintermute. Generally, he's a very nice and helpful user. In the "Bass Forum Suggestion" thread, he told Riouken to give reasons to back up his point or shut up...that's the kind of person you have to be sometimes.

There just in the casual. People I'm talking about jump into a thread titled for example " Which bass is better "A" , or "B" " and that person says " I hate them both" . I find that stupid , irrelevant , and it doesnt help them , the thread or the thread starter it anyway

I've found as a mod on another site, the best way is just to be polite. Seriously, then if people still continue to be an ass... Well... You've been nice, and then people will see they're an ass.

And you can still be polite and forthright. Its entirely possible :)

Swearing is something you should never have to resort to in a mod post IMO.

And yeh, Doug, I saw one of your posts today was 'cool.' in a reply to a thread. I passed it by, but... Man, try and put [b]some[/b] content in :/
