I dont like anything other than PCs, no offence to any other users but the PC has the best programs and an alternative to any other OS' unique program. Thats my opinion, if you want it.
ummmmmm, the PC is Linux's primary platform. And PC is not an OS. A PC = IBM architecture.

Talos 02-08-2007 06:20 PM

^ OK then, Windows.

Seafroggys 02-08-2007 06:21 PM

Much better :thumb:

TimJim 02-08-2007 06:21 PM

windows vista owns

mac OS is kinda dumb
why r chinas turned upsidedown??

Talos 02-08-2007 06:22 PM

Save sticks

Also, Macs are good for people in a creative field so to speak such as in the media, music and performing business.

TimJim 02-08-2007 06:24 PM

righto!

Talos 02-08-2007 06:26 PM

There are a load of adverts about on MySpace about PCs and Macs. Theyre stupid though and over exaggerate PC's problems and glorify Macs strong points.

TimJim 02-08-2007 06:26 PM

those r onn TV

HILARIOUS!!

Jezen 02-08-2007 06:28 PM

Not hilarious. They suck. Those guys are really funny, and Peep Show is great, but these adverts suck.

Talos 02-08-2007 06:28 PM

And im a PC, funny how I dominate the office and the home...

Seafroggys 02-08-2007 06:29 PM
windows vista owns
no it doesn't.

Oh look at my pretty desktop! Sure, it eats up all this unnecessary RAM that could be used on better things like running games and apps, but people like having these absolutely useless 3D desktop garbage crap!

Plus it lowers the quality of all your media, and forces you to use certain hardware/software that you otherwise normally would not use.

The one advantage? DirectX 10. Which will be hacked into XP sometime soon.

TimJim 02-08-2007 06:31 PM

ok then, YAYAYAYAYYAYA! 4 direct X 10!

Undisco Kidd 02-08-2007 06:39 PM

I have Mac OSX on a new intel mac. I love it and it does exactly what I want. I have 0 complaints. Not a gamer or anything, so that isnt a big deal.

Garageband, Logic Pro, Photoshop, Adium, etc.

Chippy569 02-08-2007 06:56 PM

OSX for any RAM/HDD/CPU heavy programs, such as rendering in photoshop/3d studio max/etc, plus slightly faster, less noisy audio/digital conversions in protools, logic, etc.

and less crashes when running said programs.

Electric Requiem 02-08-2007 07:00 PM

God I hate all the apple elitists who were all "blah blah mac is so much more stable and better blah blah" before osx came out, macs I would go on would lock up at least 10 times as much as pc's I would go on.
But OSX is pretty good, I just dont want to pay for a mac.

Berk 02-08-2007 07:53 PM

Heh, me and my guitarist are writing death metal songs about haruspicy (inspecting the entrails of sacrificed animals to divine the future) to play at our next rehearsal.

Josiah 02-08-2007 08:10 PM

Ha one of the funniest pranks. Superglue in locks. Like the kind that lock huge secruity gates in front of stores.

Brokensticks 02-08-2007 09:29 PM

So, I don't know if anyone remembers, but at my school next year they are offering a new program. It involves producing and mixing music etc. We are allowed to record our voices, guitars and bass etc, and use a drum machine. I talked to the guy today about drums but he said the school doesn't have enough equipment. But I think I could get something going somehow.

I am going to pick up bass soon. As I don't start until September I think I could get some bass skill down by then. I was thinking about guitar, but everyone plays guitar and I think bass would go better seeing as I'm already in the rythm section. I am really excited about this and will be making songs from jazz to death metal the guy said. Lots of experimenting.

Only 8 of us can do it it's one person per class so I'm all alone. It's mostly independent can't wait. Im so glad i got in!

Haha that's pretty funny. We did it for a prank at our highschool too.

Though odd's are he doesn't have to pay anything. The fine for the actual crime is very small. And in order to pay for damages the school would have to sue, and the courts can't grant reward money from assests that don't exist. Though a few days in jail might occur from the amount of damage caused via ratio to punishment.

In other words. No highschooler has 25 grand in assest's, so they can't take 25 grand from him. And the courts can't, and wouldn't, impose a garnishment of his wages. As he prob has non, and won't for some time.

Static 02-08-2007 09:45 PM

Oh Jos, you and your drugs.
