the Woodstock kept failing today,im going to start it again right now.
Sweet. This one disc overview of Woodstock just isn't cutting it for me right now. I can upload something if you have anything you're looking for.

np- The Rolling Stones- Let's Spend the Night Together

I have Discs 1 and 3 of the Instant Live uploaded, but the 2nd keeps failing. I've been trying to upload this all day.

Lately, I've been listening to Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra's Liberation Afrobeat, Vol. 1. Great album.
That avatar  I totally <3 that movie. Especially that scene.

Highway 61 Revisited is such an awesome and fun album to listen to. I think every song is 5/5 except the title track, but that's still a great and really fun song. I've been hooked on that recently.

I feel like a classic rock chat, but nobody's online.

WelcomeToTheMachine 01-17-2006 08:04 PM

You know when I think about it Highway 61 Revisited is probally my favorite album of all time. I can, and have, listened to that album for litleraly hours, sometimes it will be the only album I listen to all day. It was a very different direction for Dylan and I think this album is where the type of music he wanted to express to everyone came together. Desolation Row is such a great closing song, I think its one of the best acoustic epics ever written.

Broken Arrow 01-17-2006 08:23 PM

I think the song "Highway 61 Revisited" is a 5/5 song, I love it.

WelcomeToTheMachine 01-17-2006 08:31 PM

Anybody like Raw Material? i got an album from them sent to me through the prog and metal mailing list, there really good.

thickasabrick 01-17-2006 08:35 PM

I definitely listen to Bringing It All Back Home more, but Highway 61 Revisited is still an amazing album. I couldn't pick a favourite Dylan album, or one that I think is his "best."

I'm listening to Gates of Eden right now.

I think I also prefer BIABH because of the balance between acousitc and electric songs.

But yeah both are great.

robo2448 01-17-2006 08:37 PM

My favorite song recently has been Tombstone Blues. Just can't stop listening to that. The lyrics are so random and nonsensical, and the song is so chaotic. I really love Bloomfied's guitarwork on it too.

It's really hard for me to pick the weakest track on Highway 61. They're all great. It might be tied with Blood on the Tracks now for me, I've been listening to it a ton recently, and haven't listened to Blood on the Tracks for a while.

I prefer it over Bringing It All Back Home.

I just heard Mister Blue Sky in a car commerical.

WelcomeToTheMachine 01-17-2006 08:42 PM

my favorite Dylan album is Bringing It All Back Home by far.

Jeez, Dick's Picks 12 is incredibly long. I stopped it because I'm off to watch TV. 2 hours+

Yikes, it's 200 minutes, 7 seconds.

:X

What do you expect, it's an entire Grateful Dead show.

I sent out the first and third discs of the Instant Live, anyone who wants it, but didn't get it just tell me.

JonG 01-17-2006 09:09 PM

Didn't expect 3 hours and 20 minutes :)

Maybe 2 and a half to 3.

Eyes of the World was amazing :) China Cat Sunflower and Truckin' were also up there, Jerry-wise.

robo2448 01-17-2006 09:12 PM

Wow my computer suddenly got really, really fast. Those downloads finished in about one minute. Hope it's a good show. I'm about to listen to it.

Awesome. Thanks for putting all this effort into uploading the Woodstock stuff.

Sorry to hear about your guitar man, that sucks. Especially if you have to pay for the repairs.

JPJ, I like the "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!" name:p
JPJ, I like the "WHAT THE **** IS THIS!" name
Yea, there's no tracklist on the CD and the tracklist on their site only listed 3 songs for the third disc. I think it's just the end of Black Hearted Woman (which you didn't get), but it had to be put on the third disc because of the length of the drum solo in it.

Krabsworth 01-17-2006 10:45 PM

Hmm..since everyone was naming favorite Dylan albums....

I'm somewhere between The Freewheelin'.... and Bringing It all Back Home.

Jacaranda 01-17-2006 10:48 PM

OMG guys I got a new iPod Video, just in time for finals I shall cancel all plans for after school and get started on putting album covers, getting custom genres and rating songs. Ya, I'm the kind of kid who would spend a week doing those things.

Blood on the Tracks is head and heels above the rest from Dylan, its the only album I don't get bored with.
