emmure most disappointing live show ever

like i enjoy a couple emmure songs every now and then and they sound like theyd be great live, and everybody says theyre SOOOO good live, but... they stayed on stage at a venue where its becoming expected for the bands to play on the floor in front of the stage (except the drummer), so like... kids tried pile ons to do gang vocals and tuffguys got pissed off when girls jumped on their backs and wanted to fight them... on top of that, they played 2 of the good songs and then all bad songs. and their vocalists voice was so blown.
the one time i saw them they did a damn good job tbh, all the vids on youtube and whatnot of the band i wasnt impressed with their live show and i only went to support a band playing right before them. But they actualy did good and played a lot of their good songs

botb 10-28-2008 01:24 PM

emmure has good songs? =P

beans 10-28-2008 01:25 PM

a few yeah, i dont mind a few of their songs in moderation

HighandDriving 10-28-2008 01:36 PM

Not really.

beans 10-28-2008 01:37 PM

i dont really mind some of their songs in moderation?

HighandDriving 10-28-2008 02:06 PM

Why you repeating yourself?

hismajestythepope 10-28-2008 02:11 PM
Not really.
we get it you jump on sputnik bandwagons

Dimmu Burger 10-28-2008 02:18 PM

I left before Emmure went on at the show I went to. I missed Suicide Silence, but it was my wife's birthday party that night, so ah well. Architects and Beneath The Massacre were awesome.

adb 10-29-2008 02:50 AM

new BOO instrumental demos:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IAT5VSA3 song1
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HJ90B79P song 2

I'm liking them

beans 10-29-2008 03:18 AM

would be cool if they were longer

Pebster49 10-29-2008 04:06 AM

Emmure has no good songs

botb 10-29-2008 11:14 AM

BOO is pretty ballin.

beans 10-29-2008 01:22 PM

agreed about BOO

hismajestythepope 10-29-2008 01:24 PM

BOO is mediocre.

beans 10-29-2008 01:24 PM

nah man

hismajestythepope 10-29-2008 01:27 PM

i dont like the vocals or the keys personally.

and i dont like the btbam-y attempts

beans 10-29-2008 01:28 PM

they have too many breakdowns for me to confuse them with BTBAM tbh

Xplisit 10-29-2008 01:53 PM

i'll be seeing an interesting lineup on the 3rd of november at one of the smaller local venues here in toronto..

The Acacia Strain
Through the Eyes of the Dead
See You Next Tuesday
Buried and Breathing
Machine of Macabre

HighandDriving 10-29-2008 01:54 PM

The Reverb isn't that small, I'm going there tomorrow for the planet duality tour.

beans 10-29-2008 01:55 PM

that'll be a good show

Xplisit 10-29-2008 01:56 PM

nah it isn't THAT small, but when compared to like the arrow hall and kool haus its pretty small

HighandDriving 10-29-2008 02:00 PM

The Pheonix is mad small and I still think the Reverb is bigger then Kool Hause.

HighandDriving 10-29-2008 02:08 PM
The Pheonix is mad small and I still think the Reverb is bigger then Kool Hause.
I could be tripping out though as I haven't been to The Reverb in ages but to host 5 bands for the planetary duality tour it can't be that small.

And The Reverb def ain't bigger then the Kool Hause, I got the KH confused with the Fun House.

Xplisit 10-29-2008 02:08 PM

dude maybe if you combined reverb and kathedral together. lol

Xplisit 10-29-2008 02:09 PM

nah you're right its a pretty serviceable size, perhaps im getting the stages at reverb/kathedral mixed up. but like the stage at kool haus obviously dominates both of them

HighandDriving 10-29-2008 02:17 PM

Why aren't you going to the PD tour?

Xplisit 10-29-2008 02:21 PM

im not into abigail/neuraxis/decrepit.

and the other 2 bands are just meh for me. so yeah. i figure its a show i'll skip. you ever go to the opera house for shows?

Dimmu Burger 10-29-2008 02:46 PM

I would totally go, but I'm broke until december, then I have two shows to spend that money on already lol.

beans 10-29-2008 02:48 PM

priorities

Dimmu Burger 10-29-2008 02:49 PM

true dat.

I fuc king hate the opera house, good damn bitches won't let anyone go outside unless you don't plan on coming back.

Thise poses a problem for me cause I smoke and especially since I like to drink during a show.

God I wish Minus The Bear would pick a different venue to play at.

Other then that it's quite a nice looking and comfortable place.

Also I'm going later to purposely miss most of those bands so that I don't waste my time.

Yeah I hate having to do that. They had a 5 dollar re-entry fee when I saw the Thrash And Burn tour a few months ago. That was a pain in the *** cause it was like a 9 hour show!

HighandDriving 10-29-2008 03:13 PM

**** I'd take the 5$ re-entry fee and just chain smoke my *** off, just stock up on nicotine.

How do these venue get off on doing that, I just called the venue I'm going to tomorrow and asked em what their policy on re-entry i.e. smoking was.

They said 19+ which cool with me now but I remember being bummed out when I was underage because of that.
