load and reaload are the same, but there were too many songs on load so they put the rest on reload

i thnk they considered doing a double-disc album thingy, but i dunno why they didnt do it

Well their main influences are Iron Maiden, Judas preist, etc. Dave(indian guy) was in an Iron Maiden cover band and if I'm not mestaken, a Metallica cover band as well.

I love everything Metallica has written from the first note of Hit The Lights to the last note of All Within My Hands (espiaclly the kill part at the end of the song :)) I will never understand how people can say metallica sold out after the released St.Anger. That is the most mainstream unfreindly album out there and Metallica new it too. I like it all too.

im so glad to hear someone actually say they enjoyed st.anger! YAY!!!!! I do like all within my hands, unnamed feeling, and basically all the songs i know i said i only liked everyhting form kill'em all to garage days inc, but i actually took the time to lisitn to everytrack throughly. and they do rock!

the only thing that pisses me off about st. anger, is that they left out the solos.

I've heard them play solos for a few of the tracks off of St. Anger live in Dever. They weren't bad at all. Anyway St. Anger is a great album, it's just not the Metallica we were expecting.

I don't know if this is the truth, but listenning to St. Anger, their tuning sounds different? Almost like that of Korn? Why?!
They made standard tuning heavy, why'd they change it? So Kirk and James can do less work on their axes? I dunno.
St. Anger can be a good album, just rerecordered (What's with the drums?) with a couple of well placed solos in a few songs.

They didn't use standard tuning on St. Anger. Most of that album is is Drop D 1 Full step down (low to high, CGCFAD).

well, for starters, it better have solos and it should soumd like their earlier material, but it won't, they've become too nu to go back to their old style.

^^you cant have such high expectayions because you will never be satisfied...with any band. If you are waiting for an album to come out and you hype it up then it will usually fail your expectations when you get it. Thats what happened to st. anger (imo)because the media and everyone hyped it up to be just like MOP and we all know that didnt happen. Just dont set your standards too high

New album will be completely different. I doubt that they're going to bring back the AJFA or MOP you're all waiting for. In the same time, it won't be another St.Anger.

Metallica has always surprised us with unexpected things. That's what they do best. No matter which style they follow with each album, they manage to do great. That's what makes them one of the greatest bands in the earth.

As for the new album again, I guess it's going to be more Rock/Hard Rock stuff. And as compared to you, I don't want them to play speed/trash again. 4 albums is more than enough for me. I expect from them some beautiful Hard Rock album.
