I downloaded the live video of Short Fuse by No Warning from Hellfest 2003. It's played super super fast, it's almost funny in the verses.
|
Check out the video. I can see a very very blurry version of me a couple times.

What do you look like?
|
I stole my car for that show.
What do you look like?
I really don't think you'd be able to see me by description... but I go by in the circle pit a few times and I'm standing at the back towards the end. Black pageninetynine shirt (but its too blurry to read the band name or even see the picture), theres a small white logo on the back of the shirt near the neck, and the front of the shirt just looks like a big white square. I have a sort of awkward posture, dark hair. |
Has anyone heard of the band Dead to Fall? Just out of curiosity, are they considered metal, hardcore, or metalcore? thanks
|
And now he's cooler than all of us because he has hook ups :upset:
*is not cool* Everyone go listen to have heart--purevolume.com/haveheart. |
Reiner, you haven't answered me yet. What is up with Between Arms?
|
Reiner, you haven't answered me yet. What is up with Between Arms?
It's over. That ended in the summer.
Dead to Fall is Metalcore, I was just listening to them in the car. |
Dead To Fall is more metal than metalcore, I'd say.
|
They're ok, I liked their older album better. And once I heard Unearth and Shadows Fall, most everything else that sounds a little like them pales in comparison.
|
Buddy, I don't see you in that video. Unless your the dude with the video camera up front.
|
Nope. I only go by a couple times, like I said, I don't think you could find me unless someone physically pointed me out.
|

Everyone go listen to have heart--purevolume.com/haveheart.
They were at that show with Guns Up! that I posted the video of. I was blown away and have been listening to the EP non-stop ever since. And Dead to Fall are just breakdown. I'm making that a genre. Symphony in Peril and Remembering Never are in there too. |
I don't think I saw the video. Anyway, the demo and the EP are fantastic. AND, they have mesh shorts... maybe I'll buy 'em sometime.
|
I just listened to Guns Up and Have Heart because of Buddy and punkerx99's posts. Both sound really good.
|
Yeah, that breakdown thing towards the end of the Guns Up! video sounded awesome.
|
I like the breakdown in the other song they have up there (How It's Done) better.

That Have Heart is pretty good stuff. I learn about so many bands on this thread, its not even funny.
|
This thread is now like 90% Hardcore/9% Metalcore/1% Copeland Education. I'm learning a lot more about hardcore.
|
^ likewise.
Have Heart's website can be found via howsyouredge.com or thinkfastrecords.com They often get paired with Youth Attack--purevolume.com/youthattack. I haven't heard much of their stuff, but I know Shane likes them a lot. |
Youth Attack are all 16 right?
|
Yeah, they might be a little older now, but i'm not sure.
Dead to Fall are just generic metalcore, but the song I heard wasn't that bad. I wouldn't buy one of their cds or anything though. |
Man I love Adora.
I WILL DIE STRONG! NOT FALLEN A DISGRACE! |
Shane, your user title is like taleoftwocitiescore.
|
I think I saw you in the video Buddy.
|
Also Shane, I was looking at some of your old threads and I checked out Since By Man. Damn, they own! I'm digging these purevolume songs hardcore.
|

 I know those guys! Like, I've met them when I went to Milwauke with my father! I hadn't even heard their stuff but they said they were in a band called Since By Man and said I should come to a show, but I couldn't because we were leaving that night. Unless theres another band called that in Millwauke then it's a small world. |
Hahaha, that's a great story.
Seriously though, Since By Man pwn. |

Seriously, go listen to Copeland. They are amazing. |

The Shai Hulud Retrospective is out. I kind of want it. |
I still never listened to them, maybe I should do that now.
|
Their first full length is probably, they're best release. It took me a bit to get into. They're kind of like The Procedure as in hardcore but not like just 4 chords, breakdown 4 chords.
|
Do you have the new Forward to Death cd. If so, is it any good? Perfect Victim has this thing where I can send them a receipt and get a free cd of my choice from them too.
|
I need a Shai Hulud album. What's their best?
|
Their first full length is probably, they're best release.
Eh, i'm going to say their first full length is probably their best release. :) |
I'm going to get it if I got see them with Kill Your Idols and Crime in Stereo in a few weeks. I heard it's good.
Hearts once Nourished with Hope & Compassion is SH best album. Hehe, I'm trying to do like 5 things at once right now and I'm so confused. |
Eh, i'm going to say their first full length is probably their best release. :)
Yeah, I didn't see that before I posted mine. Is it a different singer on Hearts Once Nourished than on That Within...? |
I prefer That Within Blood Ill Tempered or whatever it's called.
