I hope the new Lykathea comes out fast....which I think it won't :(
It's been 'in production' for like, 4 years now. |
Tyler, I got the new Gorod album, havn't listened to it all the way through, yet though.
Lykathea Aflame are great, but I'm not holding my breath for the new one.
I'm listening to them as we speak. Friggin good stuff.
I thought Lykathea broke up?
Nay. They changed their name and are recording a new album.
Without Corn :(
Anyone like Arsis?
yes
Nice. I got their new album, havn't heard yet.
they dont have a new album. They came out with a pretty crappy one last year though.
A Celebration of Guilt is probably the top melodic death album of the 00's though. |
Well, I didn't think I would have to specify what I meant by "new", but apparently from now on I do.
So you meant "new" as in something other than the actual definition of the word "new"? Yeah, fair enough; stop being such a prick, masscows.
Arsis has one good song.
i dont even like arsis. i thought i would but just dont care for them. i really like the latest Aborted album, are any of their other albums any good?
Gormaggedon is pretty sweet.
Arsis pretty much define boring, meh and over-rated, for me.
I really liked Arsis debut album... it was really good.
but you deatheads are so elite und so fukking stupid true sometimes: you flame Behemoth, Nile, Morbid Angel, some of you even Death... i don't understand this. yeah, you even hate Cannibal Corpse... one of the most important death metal bands out there  |
I dunno how you did it but you've reached an even higher level of idiocy.
why? its just an observation i did.
nobody can say that Morbid Angel, Death and Cannibal Corpse are bad bands and who haven't influenced the death-genre; but ITT a lot of users flame those bands... who is the idiot? |
Cannibal Corpse aren't really important at all.
You for saying that people having opinions and expressing them makes them an idiot.
lol... i made a statement about an observation, to start and discussion and to get out why ppl think that way and you call me an idiot?
No you didnt start a discussion; you came in with unprovoked, inflammatory and insulting statements to the posters in this thread. You also came in with a holier-than-thou and pretentious attitude.
Retard. |
:squirrel:
nobody can say that Morbid Angel, Death and Cannibal Corpse are bad bands and who haven't influenced the death-genre;
While it's true that no one can deny that those bands are influential in the genre (except for Cannibal Corpse), whether they are bad or not is purely subjective. |
:sewerchewer:
edit: lmao checked rep |

Retard.
you should know me to know it better... but i agree... my first post could have been written better. i'm sorry. it was insulting, yes. the reason is the following: i made this observation some months ago and recently i talked about this topic in another forum, where everybody disagreed (about your statements about MA, CC, D); therefore i come back and ask you why you deny the importance of such impressive bands?! |
:sewerchewer:

Morbid Angel definitely had a massive influence on the genre, thats undeniable.
Cannibal Corpse i would say arent particularly influential to the genre as a whole, but they are incredibly influential to a LOT of bands that came after them [so maybe that does make them influential to the genre as a whole?]. Death were a fantastic band but other than their debut i dont think they shaped death metal much. A stand-out band for sure though. |
Without Corn :(
O RLY? I thought he was the one giving the updates, like the **** female singer thing. And CC only influenced poser dm bands. |
