So I have a bit of a dilemma on my hands. Lela still has my dogtags and still refuses to return them, and I don't trust her in the slightest not to use my social security number for some vindictive female antic. I've had my mom backing me up on this since I can't directly confront her without her high and mighty mormon parents slapping me down with a restraining order, so after countless messages relayed through my mom to their answering machine, I'm considering talking to the police.

I've gotten mixed responses about this; some saying it's a bad idea to go that far and others saying I'm entirely within my rights to do so. I personally have no problem taking things to that level if need be, because as far as I'm concerned, this is just as bad as having my social security card stolen (my dogtags contain my full name, SSN, even my blood type ffs).

I've decided to give it until the end of this week (it's already been almost two months) before I speak to the police about it, and if need be, I'll take her to court over it. Again, it sounds extreme, but this is my identity I'm talking about.

So what I'm asking is for some feedback. I just need that moral support to get my gut-check going and move in for the kill. I'm tired of this bitch manipulating me, even long after our relationship has ended.

Oh, I've also got some ammo to ruin her relationship with her parents and destroy her relationship with her new boyfriend as well. All I have to do is tell her parents to check the top drawer of dresser where she keeps condoms, cigarettes, etc.. and tell them to check over her shoulder when she's on MySpace to see some of the R-rated comments her boyfriend has left her. Being the steadfast mormons that they are, she would be ruined.

To be quite honest, I can't believe you had to sit down and wonder if going to the police was such a good idea. I mean, it IS your identity, and God knows what this crazy bitch will do with it.

And to get revenge in the process would be excellent. But yeah, I'm curious as to why you even considered thinking about not going to the police.

The only reason I've waited this long is because I thought I would give her a chance to be civil and reasonable and not throw her life away over something like this. Apparently I've been giving her far too much credit.

If my dogtags don't show up/if I don't hear from her or her parents by the end of this week, I'm going to the police station and filing a report.

The police here in Milwaukie are practically the nazi gestapo. Over the past month there were over a dozen tickets issued for things like not wearing a seatbelt. If I took this to them, they'd have a hay day.

Honestly Jared, I think you should go to the police. Its already been way too long. You cant take the risk that she [I]might[/I] not use your Social Security Number. It is way too important to let this slip.

I remember what you were talking about previously with her parents, I dont see there being any point in trying to get it from her yourself, without some legal assistance.
