yeah, it can only get cheaper. be sure get fios though. its such a deal. in my area dsl is like 30, the same price as fios depsite the fact that the band width is 2 times larger. and cable is around 60 yet has the same bandwidth as fios. customer service is supposed to be pretty good too, according to my parents.

It doesn't matter..

We have the option of optical here.. just costs more. The slow part with bandwith is the servers you connect too.

I have DSL, some servers I can get 2.5Mps+.. on most.. 100k/sec. It's not my connection, it's everything else that's slower.

oh really, i also hear that the closer you are to the branch offices the better your connection is despite what you have.

How close you are to the C.O. and how good the throughput is.

We are very close, so I get great speed. I have a friend with cable down a couple blocks away. At first he was faster, but now, as cable has gotten more popular, and more people in his area have gotten it. His speeds have dropped to a touch below mine on average.

yeah fiber optics is going to end up like that eventually. when it gets really popular the circuts are going to start filling up and its going to be the next cable.

Cable kicks *** in the country though. In my area, cable has been availble for like five years, but DSL, if it even is availble now, hasn't been until recently, and thats if it (been awhile since we checked).

But cable is $45 a month to DSL's $15, so I dunno.
