Your post frequency will drop so drastically that your post count will actually go backwards.

I cut out my Marley stencil, and I decided fuck it, I'll just cut out his whole dread-fro and not try to imitate the shading. I did a test spray on computer paper and it came out damn good. I can't post pics until later, because my mom has the camera and she's at work, and I don't want to get bright green spraypaint on my scanner.

Oh, and Pointless, that shirt looks great, man.

Rise Me Up 03-29-2006 09:01 PM

The thread would die.

iam2000pounds 03-29-2006 09:32 PM

That shirt looks great except for the paint at the side of it.

Counting this post, I have 235 posts in this thread. That's insane. I'm going to stop for awhile (espcially since I haven't been doing anything new DIY-wise).

I would just leave the punk forum all together, but I've started to become a punk fan myself.

My patched jacket is starting to fall apart. There is a big hole in the lining, and I can put my hand under it between the outside fabirc and the lining. I should probably sew it up.

I haven't done DIY in so long, I should start. I bought this set of exacto knife blades from the 99 cent store and they are pretty cool.

Once it gets a bit warmer I'm going to spray paint the front of my backpack and stencil something on it.
yeah. i need to come up with a way to put make the stencil stay down on the shirt so i dont get any underspray. i also have to fina a way to not be a retard and not cover the whole shirt up.

here it is: http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d172/pointless5448/Picture001.jpg
I've always used tape-donuts and it's worked fine for me.

Danger Bird 03-29-2006 11:18 PM

Any good sites on how to make patches. I know about that new Google site but I was just wondering if you punx knew any particularly reputable ones.
I've always used tape-donuts and it's worked fine for me.
what are those?

Danger Bird 03-30-2006 08:47 AM

You wrap tape around so it's sticky on two sides.

Here's pics of the test spray of my Marley stencil. There's some underspray, but that's just because I cut the stencil out of computer paper. I'll use some display board once I decide what to paint this on.

Cool idea, but it'd look better if you used stencils and stuff.

POINTLESS5448 03-30-2006 02:46 PM

the marley stencil looks cool even without the hair. you can still tell its him and everything.

POINTLESS5448 03-30-2006 03:13 PM

i just put a 2tone guy on my skateboard. i made the stencil last night and realized that it wouldnt work on a white shirt so i threw it on my deck.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d172/pointless5448/Picture002.jpg

Flagjacket 03-30-2006 03:15 PM

That would work on a white tee provided you have black paint.

sam-a-lam 03-30-2006 03:23 PM
Sweet. Did you do it freehand?
yeah

i was going to make a stencil...
but then i was being a lazy *** and didn't

POINTLESS5448 03-30-2006 03:57 PM
That would work on a white tee provided you have black paint.
yeah but it wouldnt look as good because then the guy would be black and his glasses would be white and it jsut looks better white on black. im going to get some favrick paint or something to that nature and put it on a black tee.

sub-bass 03-30-2006 10:19 PM

I've made a black flag and operation ivy shirt, I'll post pictures sometime, as well as the old guitar i've drawn on.

Danger Bird 03-30-2006 10:40 PM

I took my test spray to school and nobody could tell it was Marley. They couldn't even tell it was a person. :( Do you think I should get rid of the cheekbone?

Funny story, though, nobody could tell what it was, except this one stoner. He looked right at it and immediately said, "Yeah, it's Bob Marley smoking a jay."

I think I might make a back patch out of it. I just made it because I was bored but I really like it so now I have to think of something to do with it. I'm thinking of spraying it on some black fabric and sewing it to the back of my jacket.

By the way, does anybody know where to get a Minor Threat stencil of Ian MacKaye with his head down like on the album cover? I could have sworn I saw it on stencil punx but I checked again and it's not there.

Sebek 03-30-2006 10:42 PM
what are those?
When you wrap the tape around itself, sticky side out so that it essentially would make a "donut" like shape, but you would want it much thinner so that it could stay closer to the fabric.
