on one hand people are assholes to cyclists but on the other hand cyclists have this THE ROAD BELONGS TO US TOO mentality and decide to go however fast a bike goes in the middle of a lane on a street that has a speedlimit of 60mph

so we have people being assholes to cyclists for them being elitist and whiny assholes, and if i remember right in michigan bikes are supposed to use the sidewalk but they read online that youre supposed to share the road with cars and get an attitude about it

in lawrence its illegal for bikes to ride on the sidewalk iirc

The cyclists up here are pretty respectful of the rules of the road. I just hate driving alongside them.

Sadly a few days ago a cyclist got hit by a car and died from her injuries. And I think just yesterday a car hit a kid on a bike too.
