Thats also one of the first songs they wrote, and no, they've sort of got their own thing going on, or did when Thrill Seeker came out... not to say its the most original thing ever, but the melodies aren't even the generic Gothenburg riffs.

Suicide Silence is pretty brutal at times, and at other times just pretty bland and monotonous.

Anyway Glass Casket is good.

I just got the Glass Casket cd aswell, that is gooood music. I wish I knew this site exsisted about 2 years ago, I've found so much new music in just a few days, unlike on the Becoming the Archetype forums.

And yes, ABR is far from generic. Thrillseeker is the best metalcore cd I've ever heard, Messengers is great aswell, but some songs just drag.

asdemonsburn I agree with the "wish I found this site 2 years ago" part, because of this site I found good metalcore bands like Botch, Converge, 7A7P, etc. More recently I discovered grind and got some cool Tech Death and Deathcore bands because of the members around here

DBlitz, yeah remember before joining I saw this thread. I was like hmm, I know about most of these bands, and some pwn (viatrophy, a different breed of killer, etc.) and some are meh (Knights of the Abyss, WBCC, etc) but I didn't know about the red shore and glass casket, both own my face now. EDIT: forgot about from a Second Story Window, got them from here too

I've also gotten into some dm too. Decripit Birth, Aborted, Odious Mortem (all 3 excellent)

Eh, I wouldn't go that far, their sound isn't the most original thing ever, but they put their own little twist on it hear and there... Thrillseeker is great, but there's a good bit of filler, and songs from Messengers are only good live, aside from like, The Truth Of A Liar.
