you're music sounds like a bad take on early Glass Casket or similar ilk.

i'd consider Glass Casket metalcore that wears a death metal influence on its sleeve.

therefore, i'd consider you metalcore. the other band Parasitis or whatever was obviously more in depth death metal that showed a metalcore influence.

if you think Intronaut is metalcore you're an idiot. they're obviously from the same gene as Isis, Rosetta, Callisto, so on and so forth.

The riffs are just ultra boring and it feels like the whole band is trying to be something its not, like theres a big difference between being a real death metal band and incorporating pinch harmonics and other dumb technical crap to try to achieve that effect

Glass Casket is amazing, and so are Botch. but there followers that just add a little bit and then stick to the easiest progressions ever are lame.

deathcore, and they actually have hardcore parts, which we didn't even start incorperating into our music until the spring of 07, right before our guitarist's girlfriend hanged herself and we sort of just stopped

breakdowns, there is a slight influence of metalcore on the way the riffs progress that i wouldn't pin totally as death metal. death metal tends to usually be very atonal and dissonant, where as metalcore tends to have a lot more riff based progressions.

No, tons of death metal is very riff oriented, as it stemmed from thrash, son.

As for breakdowns, Suffocation, Cryptopsy, Cannibal Corpse, Blood Red Throne, Iniquity, etc.

The breakdown in Masturbatory is nothing like a metalcore breakdown, and breakdowns in metalcore are a metal element to begin with.

It's pretty hilarious that somebody who's so obsessed with jacking off to their supposed knowledge of music could actually say a band is metalcore because they have breakdowns.

I think I got into emo first ayway but the first screamo band I could really enjoy was like City of Caterpillar

if the first three tracks don't get you into that record, then you should just turn it off and maybe approach something like City of Caterpillar or uh.. Envy.

they seem to be other good HEAVY HITTERS for people that aren't coming from a hardcore perspective and aren't used to that kind of simplicity in production and ideas.
