They're really decent for a new american death metal band.

Any suggestions for an album to check out?

Akeldama is their only album I believe.

The drummer from Vornagar played with them for a while I believe.

Its nothing amazing but I do like the song The Ghost of a Stranger.

Yeah he's on a few songs, there's a few drummers on the album. I hate Tim Yeung, though.

I agree though. They would be better if they dropped some of the breakdowns, but there are far worse bands coming out of the US right now than these guys.

He played on Seven Churches, but not on their first demo. He didn't start with them until after the Death Metal demo was released. Weird to think the guy from Primus was in Possessed.

Winds of Creation is the only Decapitated release worth paying attention to.

True, but its nowhere close to being as good as Winds.

Well that's a given.

Few albums are close to winds. it's too good.

I think I'll look for that at thier Merch stand, which hopefully will be set up.

They sell it at their merch stand.

[I]Blessed[/I] is probably my favorite song they've done.

SOTS sucks. If you are going to listen to At the Gates, don't listen to that one.

It has some pretty good songs. Blinded By Fear, Under A Serpent Sun, Suicide Nation, and World Of Lies mainly. Title track to an extent. The rest is passable. The last two tracks are decent too.

Under a Serpent Sun and Suicide Nation are the only ones I really like off that album.

There's nothing wrong with ATG. WTF?

They play melodic death metal. That's what's wrong.

They're one of the few good ones that play it though.

But it's higher quailty than most of the rest of the genre.

It's still melo death.

Um, no. There's quite a variety of Melodeath bands that sound nothing alike, and they have decent music. It's not really an arguable concept.

Besides, we could say the same about Brutal Death, straight BM, Thrash, and everything else.....it's a pointless argument....I should know.
