I don't even watch that show. Maybe I should start.

zabbit82 12-02-2005 10:15 PM

That would be a good idea. The early episodes are the best ones.

Does anyone remember That 80's show? Man, what a flop. It couldn't have been aired for more than a season. It was basically That 70's show with different clothes.

To be honest I haven't given it a listen in awhile.. but last time I did I was feelin' pretty low. Really melancholic (if that's a word).
Oh ok, Ill look into them. But no uplaods. Thanks though.

Any songs in particular I should start with first ?

NP- Iced Earth - Life and Death
I would recommend:
Chopin:
Piano Sonata No.2
12 Etudes Op.10
Beethoven:
Piano Sonata No.14 'Moonlight' Op.27
Piano Sonata No.23 'Appassionata' Op.57
That should be enough to get started. (apologies for that very late quote)

Anyway, I just got home from my piano lesson, good stuff as usuall.

NP:Franz Liszt - Hungarian Rhapsody No.02 In C-Sharp Minor

Well I'm self tought on guitar for a little over a year and I've only been playing piano for about six weeks or something. I think of piano as my main intrument though, despite the fact that I'm not anything special on it yet. Also whenever I compose it is for piano, and my ambition lies with composing and playing piano.

Off-topic but cheers for the albums, especialy the Sonata Arctica sampler, got it downloading now :)

John Cage!

<_< >_>
Why does everyone compare them to Opeth? They sound nothing like Opeth. Agalloch are a totally different band. They both may create the same atmosphere though.
I think it's because pretty much anyone who likes Opeth, tends to end up liking Agalloch.
What are some good composers I should listen to? I've been wanting to listen to some classical.
I think you should hear Beethoven and Mozart, they are the composers whose music got me into classical and they are both incredible aswell. The thing with classical music is is that there are so many composers, and most of them have written lots of music; which can make finding a composer you like difficult. Downloading some stuff to see what you like is the way to go really, then if you like it classical CDs are often very cheap to buy.

NP:Jason Becker - Life And Death

King_Of_Terrors 12-03-2005 07:37 AM

I have a Beethoven album, three Mozarts, and three of Bach's. I like the Beethoven one, it's Beethoven's Greatest Hits  I listened to a few songs, I like Fur Elise.

I love classical music, but like you say, I find it hard to find a favorite composer.
I just love about everything that's classical.
anmd I'm terrible at classical sub genres, like Baroc, Romantic, Impresionistic.
I just like it all, I'll listen to what sounds good.

King_Of_Terrors 12-03-2005 07:38 AM

I didn't even know there were sub-genres for classical. Haha

Baroque :p
But yeah, it took me some listening to discover my favourites. Also the vast majority of what I listen to comes under the Baroque, Classical and the Romantic period. Contempory classical I don't much like, from what I've heard.

NP:Franz Schubert - Impromptu No3 Op90, andante

Who do you listen to the most, metal guitar?

Oh okay. I Played piano when I was small And quit about a month or 2 after. I regret it today...I was about 6 or 7. If I only I would have continued all those years.

My last.fm thing

That's a pretty good picture of what I listen to, except it doesn't take the length of tracks into accout. For example, I could listen to Bach's Goldberg variations which consist of 32 pieces for piano of duration about 50 mins. I could then listen to Beethoven's Symphony No.3, also about 50 mins but it would only register 4 plays. So you can see its not perfect.

King_Of_Terrors 12-03-2005 07:51 AM

I was thinking about taking piano lessons.
