you cant, you do it by hand
No, If your sewing machine has an arm on it you can slip it in that and then sew. As I said it depends on the machine. |
You can if your machine is designed right, I know my mum's can do it, because she reattached some sleeve patches for me.
|
My mom sewed some patches on the sleeves of my jacket, too.
I'm going to be having a basement show, soon and the flyers we did for the last show were kinds sucky. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to make good looking and easy to read flyers? |
just say there is 1 free beer with every flyer
|
ive noticed a trend. male punks generally get their mum to so their patches. its the only way i tell ya, the only way
|
My mom can't sew.
|
I hand sew mine usually. But I get my mom to sew them so they dont frey, and she helped reattach the ones that got fucked in the wash.
|
I sew mine myself. I haven't washed the sweatshirt yet though, so I'm not sure how much they'll fray.
|
Put the washer on the gentlest cycle as you can, and hang dry it. That way you reduce the chances of freying. Or take it to a dry cleaners.

My girlfriend sews my patches. |

Why didn't you just fold the sides down? Lazy punks |
Why didn't you just fold the sides down?
Lazy punks
That's what I do now. I give the patch to my mum, she sews the sides down on her machine, then I hand sew them on the jacket myself. |
i dont really have the freying edges problem, mainly because i never sow patches on things that get washed. my bag and my jackets are the only thing i really sow on
|
Why didn't you just fold the sides down?
Lazy punks
Roger that. |
Depends on the sewing machine.
Can someone give me a FAQ of all the questins asked in this?
All you have to do is un-sew the seam of the sleeve, sew the patches on, then sew th sleeve backtogether. Un-sewing's the toughest part coz sewing it back together you can just turn it inside out and use your machine. |

Sounds much easier just to do it by hand. |

Duct tape a broom stick that something that stands alone, like a Christmas tree stand. Then duct tape the mic to the top of the broom stick. |

I use a tripod for a camera. I'm sure if you want one no matter what it looks like, you can find several things around your house to use for one. |

Find a friend who is in metalwork class and say "wanna make a mic stand for me?" |
how do I sew cloth patches on so they stop fraying? I have to hand sew it, I don't have a sewing machine...
|
how do I sew cloth patches on so they stop fraying?
You can spray the edges with anti-fraying spray You can fold the edges over to the back, and sew them on that way. You can trim the edges (this only prevents it temporarily) |
either glue them on, then sew them (the glue bonds the edges)
or turn the edges underneath before you sew them on |
