I got Senses fail's - Let it enfold you (ordered on e-bay never came) :angry
I have the new Senses Fail, sonic and sound wise it's a little faster and heavier than Hot Water Music, and they're still talking about killing their lovers for some reason, but it's awesome.

1. The Used- "In love and Death"
2. Underoath- "They're only chasing safety"
3. Thrice- "Identity Crisis"
4. Silverstein- "When broken is easily fixed"
5. Fear Before the March of Flames- "Art Damage"

Out of anyone, Scott has my favorite taste, especially as it keeps evolving.

I was tempted to buy Jamie Cullum's Twentysomething(?) album today, for £6 from that stall guy, but decided against it, as I've already spent waaay too much money in the last month or so. Did I make a mistake?

asymm 11-02-2004 10:22 PM

Yeah, I've loved all that I've heard... I've been meaning to buy this LP for like... 6 months, it's ridiculous how I've put this one off. Maybe I'll pick up Audit in Progress at the local record shop in a couple weeks...

Tangy zizzle 11-02-2004 11:00 PM

Audit in Progress is really really good.

Tapeworm 11-02-2004 11:33 PM

I just acquired some albums:

The Blood Brothers - Burn Piano Island, Burn
Sufjan Stevens - Seven Swans
Depeche Mode - Violator
Explosions in the Sky - The Earth is not a Cold Dead Place
Circle Takes the Square - S/T EP
Bill Hicks - Rant in E Minor
APC - eMOTIVe
The Black Keys - Rubber Factory

They are all awesome albums, especially Seven Swans, The Earth... and Rubber Factory. APC sucks though.

Brilliant album. Let this one soak in... and you'll see all the beautiful intricacies.

Great albums, like Radiohead's "OK Computer", need to be listened to a couple of times at the very least. I missed so much the first time through on that one, even on Coldplay's "A Rush of to the Head". Great advice.

RollerQueen 11-06-2004 11:21 PM

Shatner's cd is nice. It's like having your father read a romanticized memoir to you set to music by your aunts and uncles. As far as "novelty" albums go, it's a mighty fine one. I don't regret buying it.

how is talkie walkie? i've been meaning to buy it

RollerQueen 11-07-2004 08:42 PM

Talkie Walkie is worthy of most of the praise it receives. I find it relaxing. If you're spanning all genres, it's one of the year's best releases, in the top 25 at least. The last track on the cd is also on the Lost In Translation soundtrack as one of the more atmospheric pieces so if you liked the movie and the soundtrack, definitely get the cd. I know you have one of the more open tastes of the "Titans" so I'd suggest maybe listening to some streams from Amazon before commiting to purchase but if you've been meaning to buy it, I'd say to go for it. I'm content with my purchase.

I hope that helps. :)
