It a lot easier to just say, "aw fuck it lets get it" when you are in a relationship.

When single you tend to pick bigger thngs you want to get becasue they seem more attainable.
yeah. and on top of that i can have band practices without having to call somebody during our break. and i can just hang out. i miss it sometimes, but in the long run i'll be better off i guess. i think i am taking it VERY well for the amount of time though. almost went out four years and it's only been a week and a half since she broke up with me. just trying to focus on the good things right now.

I have actually had a bit of a laugh at you and Jody.

Not in a bad way, just at how the two of you represent the opposite extremes of the post break up situation.

You being strong and moving on with your life. Not letting the past bring you down too much. I salute you on that one.

And

Jody, who really sems to be struggling with his break up and subsequent crap that has gone down with the girl and those other guys. I hope he realises that life is not always fair but you have to make do with what it gives you.

All the best Jody if you are around.

mastrrbasser 09-28-2006 01:13 PM

yeah. i just don't want to avoid confusion in the future. if she meets some other guy and they become something, i don't want to be hanging around, change her mind, and have her dump him for me, and vice versa. i really don't want to bring other people into it, i'd feel really terrible about it. i've seen the "hung up over ex" syndrome several times, and it's really ****ty. i've been talking with her, but i made it clear that i don'[t want to see her in person for a long time to avoid confusion and mixed feelings.

DaveSavesTheDay 09-28-2006 01:13 PM

So, I'm sick as shit right now. I'm so tierd, I have a massive headache and I'm really cold.

I went to see my girlfriend for lunch, so that was good, but I'm still incredibly tierd and what not.

On top of that, my work called and asked me to go in to help out tonight. I said I'd go if: a) I got a free meal b) I get to leave at 8:30 no matter what c) I'm not doing an strenious activites.

They agreed

maybe jody's one of those guys that doesn't say **** about it in real life all day, but just gets on here to completely vent. ?
I don't know. Benefit of the doubt.

The saftey in strangers deal.

One can come here and spill ones heart out and for the most part people are sympathetic. Real life people will be sympathetic too, but will eventually become bored with someone who cannot let go.

mastrrbasser 09-28-2006 01:17 PM

i doubt it. trust me man... you vent. i had a good friend help guide me through it every step of the way. she even let me come go up to her college and crash there for the night to get me out of my house and to talk about it. I never, never, NEVER party, but we all got obliterated together and it was a really good time. one of the ****tiest weeks of my life was made all better by getting out and talking to people that matter to me.... and completely forgetting about it for a few hours :chug:

the drive there and back gave me a lot of time to think too.

DaveSavesTheDay 09-28-2006 01:17 PM

It's possible, but I doubt it. Jody seems really capable of expressing himself.

mastrrbasser 09-28-2006 01:20 PM

the way i see it, is that the first few days/ maybe week will be the worst. I didn't eat or sleep for two days straight, had trouble focusing on school work, and had a splitting headache. it hit me so hard that i got physically sick. but just like ripping off a bandaid, it only hurts for a second on the grand scale of things.

oh yeah, dave. i've been listning a crapload of STD lately. them and small brown bike.

Good stuff.

Just being around others eliminates that time alone where all you have is time and what if's floating through your head.

Funny how one's own mind can be ones enemy at times.

deffinately. People have different ways of coping i guess. i've had about 5 band practices(listning to and playing music always makes me feel great) since ith appened and i've been really giving that my all right now. they've been great practices too. the kind when you get the "runners high" when you're done because you're so pumped. i've also been focusing really hard on my school work. keeping busy is my thing.

hah. i'm not too keen on their "can't slow down" album, but it's growing on me. i prefer their more melodic stuff to their punky stuff.

ebe9 09-28-2006 01:27 PM

I was given the nickname DV at varsity, and people used to have a bit of fun calling me VD.

He-fucking-larious

Sound the Alarm is a really good album, as is Stay What You Are.

I r ace!

I scored me an A on my photography project and I start shooting a music video tomorrow!

I love college!

mastrrbasser 09-28-2006 01:33 PM

yeah those two albums are really great. cant slow down is alright, but it's growing on me, and i just got "through being cool." i'm listning to it right now.

DaveSavesTheDay 09-28-2006 01:34 PM

I've missed 3 days of school in under a month (to put that into perspective, I missed 6 all of last year) and my average is 20% higher :)

I r ace.

Brb, food.

It sounds really dodgy but it makes a fantastic snack.

- Peanuts
- Pickles
- Cheese

Munch all 3 at the same time, delicious.

mastrrbasser 09-28-2006 01:40 PM

i'm hoping the peanuts are dry roasted. then it might be good.

DaveSavesTheDay 09-28-2006 01:41 PM

Heh, I really can't imagine breaking up with my girlfriend. We work together, and we're always together, but it's never even enough.

I think I'd actually shun myself out from the world for a few days if it ever does happen, not that I wan't it to.

I mean, we talk for hours every night on the phone, I see her everyday and we're really starting to be affectionate in public, which was a problem at first. Oh, and I'm taking her to James Blunt on Monday :) 3rd row, too :smoke:

But of course.

Its just such a great mingling of flavours and the only dodgy mix I eat.

Get a toothpick. Shove a miniature, canned hotdog on it, shove a pickle on there and some cheese.

Delicious.
