Get the hell out of the Metallica thread if you don't like Metallica, what kind of dumbass are you?
just to let you know mudvaynes bass player , ru-d, is freaking great. cliff was straight metal and great at it . cliff=god but ru-d does some crazy $hit |
I no my post is a bit late, but I think fade to black is the most perfect peice of music metallica created, i cud listen to it over and over again :P
|
This whole Mudvayne topic has got me thinking... am I the only one tired of bands misspelling their names to draw attention to themselves. I mean, it was cool with led zeppelin and lynyrd skynyrd, but it's just being overdone if you ask me. I also realized that every band at summer sanitarium besides metallica had this...
Linkin Park Mudvayne Limp Bizkit Deftones It's not rebellious or clever anymore, if it's gonna be done, make it mean something. |
look, i'm not downing Mudvaynes bassist, i'm just saying that Cliff started the whole thing, and without his inspiration i dont' think you'd have some of the crazy **** out there, just saying, don't get pissed, IMO
|
I agree cliff was pretty good... it's just sad he was only alive for their early recordings as the production of those albums didn't do him justice

ciff = god
ooh i love the man without being gay but mudvaynes bass player is the best right now |

there are alot of better bass players true
but not in metal bands but this as nothing to do with the true reason for this thread metallica rulz!!! |
i dont like metallica for no reason
|
how many of you guy can play Blackened. I just started playin it to and so far I've found it harder than MoP. I don't know if that's just me. Tell me how long it took you guys to learn it.
|
About 20 minutes. The riffs at least.
|
It took me about half hour

Blackened riffs took 20 min-ish but the solo was frustrating because the tapping is hard to nail perfectly. The solo in total took about 2 hours.
Yeah i found it harder than Master of Puppets; that took me about 30 minutes to get to an ok level. I'd already practised my pinky alot so that helped loads. |

If Metallica ever let one of it's bass players (Cliff, Jason, Rob) turn up the amp so that they could be heard with the rest of the music I think that a lot of people would find that they did some supreme work. |
Yep
All metallicas bass players have gotten too little room in the songs.... Just listen to One. You can't hear the bass.. |
st anger lol wot a joke its like they tried to make a bad album but were still bad at it
i no they have other not so good albums such as "garage inc." an "load" and "reload" but this is just painful to listen to its such a bad album u can tell its gonna b **** just from the name their old stuff kikss *** but since they have made the black album they have started to go bad. "kill em all" "ride the lightning" and "justice for all" blatantly three of the best albums of all time |
Hmm justice I have to question a bit... Load and reload weren't terrible they have a fair few really good songs between them. Eg. Fuel, Ain't my bitch ect.
And I personally think that St. anger wasn't meant to be a propper album ( in a recent interview they said that the original new album stuff was quite black albumy before all the rehab) So I think that St. anger was just a way for James ect. to let out all the angst from napster, rehab, jason ect. .. Well thats my theory at least. |

OK, I haven't had the time to read the previous 22 pages (I looked at the first one or two), so ignore me if these have been mentioned:
1) Who here's got the Cliff 'Em All DVD? I love it so much... 2) Am I the only person that can see a huge difference between KEA and RTL, even though they're both Thrash Metal? I love both of them, its just I don't find some of their stuff from that era (or at all...) very fast. Unless we go and talk about when they play live. :) EDIT: Wow, I was just reading one of Chimairia's posts, and I got an email from TicketMaster, and it was about Chimairia  [/OffTopic] |

Haha, Mudvayne didn't spell their band name wrong. Realize why they used to seperate the spelling? "Mu-Dv-Ay-Ne", it's got a meaning. |

Who the **** has the authority to tell me what to put stuff on and what not to? I say **** YOU YOU ***!
|
I thought you don't like Chimairia anymore.
Meh, I'm dumb and have a small memory. I just re-listened to my beloved Kill 'Em All, and its so incredibly amazing. I just can't remember the last time I listened to it. Gonna go and tackle 'No Remorse' now. Oh, drummers, which 80's Metallica songs don't have double bass in them? I'm guessing that For Whom The Bell Tolls doesn't, but I need more that my drummer can work out. |
