I might not be able to get a driv to the PTW show cause it's a Thursday and that's effing lame. Unless i go even further to see them on Friday. Or go to Quebec to see them on Saturday.. Frenchies galore
*shudder* |
Yeah, if the show was in Buffalo, it'd be no problem, but it's not, so... :(
:( I feel bad for you. There are never any "earlier" concerts, they all go late into the night, which is why my parents don't like me going on school nights. |

*shudder*
That sucks. Hopefully you get to go. It looks like it will be an amazing show. Too bad it isn't coming here. :(
I feel bad for you. Well, however often we even get good shows. I want to go to the ToC tour but it's too much money and it's a Thursday so I won't be able ot get there probably. I just want to go to see Thursday.. Maybe they'll tour their new album anyways. |

I wish my parents were like that.** Brandon broke the :( streak. :( |
I'm hoping to see Thursday when they tour again. I've heard rumors about them playing in Rochester in April, but I haven't found anything to confirm it. The rumored date is a Saturday though, so I really hope it's true.
I'm seeing Taste of Chaos on March 10th. Should be awesome. |
Birna: you guys don't get Thursday though aha
I am going to TBS on easter!
it should be intense I hope they play their new stuff |
I can't fu'cking wait for the Filaments on March 25th, re-union gig as the lead singer's back form the States.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH |
I personally skipped out Taste of Chaos willingly...only good bands were Thrice, As I lay Dying and Receiving end of Sirens. Not worth around 40 dollars in my book. But this tuesday I'm goin to go see Maylene and the Sons of disaster and in a week and a half Comeback Kid is playing here- day after that is Bleeding Through and Haste the Day. Im pumped :naughty:
|
ToC is much too expensive, even though we get Thursday.
|
Taste of Chaos got moved to a different venue here. The venue also happens to be way to small. It's already over-sold, and that doesn't include the space needed for a second stage and all of the merch stands.
So basically, ToC is more or less going to suck now. I hate when there is no room to move at a show. - But, on a positive note, I saw No Use For A Name and The Suicide Machines last night. It ruled. :D |
TASTE OF CHAOS 2006
Last Conservative Local band. They're alright, although they didn't really fit in with the other bands. I missed their first couple songs. Greeley Estates (2nd Stage) I like these guys a lot. I had forgotten that they were playing, so it was a pleasant surprise when they took the stage. They only played 4 songs though, becuause they were a second stage band. Funeral For A Friend Enjoyed these guys a lot. They played a good mix of songs, and they had a lot of energy. The Smashup (2nd Stage) They were alright. I'm not too familiar with them. As I Lay Dying They were pretty good, but I ended up getting pretty beat up during their set. I kept getting hit by crowd surfers :-\ Adair (2nd Stage) These guys were actually quite good. I only know a couple of their songs, but their set was great. Story of the Year Awesome. They had so much energy, and they played a lot of good songs. At one point the lead singer threw a half-full garbage can into the crowd. :p The Confession (2nd Stage) - see "The Smashup" - Atreyu They were pretty good. I knew most of their songs, and musically, they were solid. Their fans are annoying though. :-\ The Receiving End Of Sirens (2nd Stage) Great. I like these guys a lot, and was happy to get to see them. The only disappointment was that they didn't get to play longer. Thrice Awesome, of course. I liked all their songs a lot. I would have liked to have seen them play more of their older music, as more than half their set was from Vheissu. Either was they rule though. I left just as Street Drum Corps came on, because I didn't care to see them or The Deftones. Either way, it was an awesome night. :D |
You're going to TBS on tuesday?
So am i.
Whoa. Awesome. TBS are so, so, so, so good live. They killed my expectations. I'd heard so much bad stuff. And they...blew me away! This Photograph Is Proof & Cute Without The E & Bike Scene were just amazing. Oh, Ande12333, they played 2 new songs I believe. |
I just saw Ben Folds... :) Amazing!
|

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH
You going to Suicide Bid on Sunday the 23rd of April? It'll be awesome. Their first ever show & loads of good bands for cheap. |

**** Dave are you going? I don't have the money to get a ticket, I would have but I couldn't get a ride anyways.
I'm so mad about that. I would kill to see Thursday. |
I think I might be seeing Thursday in April as part of the Bamboozle roadshow.
And, on Warped Tour. AFI is playing the Buffalo date too. |
I need a job :(

Ferret Under The Gun Tour: 3/18/06
The Banner I saw these guys about a month ago. I don't know their music that well, but they put on a decent show. The crowd wasn't too into them though. Scarlet I'm not familiar with them, and apparently neither was the rest of the crowd. Everyone stood still for the whole set. Also, they had a smoke machine going the whole time, which ended up setting off the fire alarm. Of course, no one even bothered to react when it went off. The kid I was standing next to yelled "Fire!", but no one cared. Zao I only know a handful of songs by these guys, but they were pretty good. The crowd was really into them, and there were more people thre for them than there were by the time Remembering Never and Madball took the stage. Remembering Never These guys were awesome. I only knew the songs off of Women And Children Die First, but it was great. Everyone was going crazy when they played their last breakdown ("your dissection is a small price to fucking pay for a lifetime of ignorance"). It was so awesome. The lead singer was complaining about the barrier though. And with good reason. There is no need for a barrier at a hardcore show. It sucked. Madball So awesome. I only knew maybe half their songs, but everyone was moving and singing along the whole time. The energy was awesome. Once again, the barrier was an annoyance, but it was still a great set. |
