I personally prefer SSTB it feels like more of an entity and is easier to listen to all in one go, and yeah, I'm pretty sure you'd like it if you liked IKSOSE:3 but it might take slightly longer to get into.
|
I was wondering where youve been.
And has anyone here been a fan since SSTB, or did everyone jump on after a favor house atlantic?
I bought the original Equal Vision release of IKSEE or however you spell it. Dfelon recommended htem. |
coheed sounds pretty emo...
coheed sounds pretty emo...
In what way? How the hell are you defining them as being emo? What's making them emo, in your eyes? |
I was wondering where youve been.
I read a comment in rock and metal that Claudio's vocals are earbleeding.Maybe to a die hard metalhead they are but I think he has a terrific voice. Also I would like to ask you guys would I like SSTB if I liked IKSOSE 3?Are they similar?
Almost all metal singers ive heard suck anyways. Also, you shouldnt have a problem with SSTB if you liked IKSOSE, but they do sound a little different. I actually prefer SSTB.
coheed sounds pretty emo...
Okay. how did you make this conclusion? |
I got IKSOSE after people said coheed were good...I actually don't like favour house too much...the best song is easily IKSOSE...
|
SSTB is a lot lighter with the music for the most part, but thats because of where the story's going at the time. thery still have the dark moments like on Everything Evil.
IKSOSE3 is very dark, i think that adds to the whole atmosphere of the album. to me, when i listen to it, i get the feeling that the keywork is at war, just from the music on some songs. i also love the way they make a song that sounds light hearted actually be hugly dark. everyone in the band has so much talent. |

And i think the story of SSTB, with Coheed killing his kids, is darker than all the war in IKSOSE. Thats why i thought it was funny the music wasnt as heavy in SSTB as it was in IKSOSE. |
ya they really made it not as heavy...i do like SSTB better then IKSOSE but it took me a really long time to really like all the tracks on the cd like i bought it when it first came out but i only listened to like time consumer and devil in jersey city but i guess i jus liked all the IKSOSE tracks because i was already so into coheed......from the some of the samples off of cobalt from the new cd and it sounds like almost a mix but it sounded pretty heavy but the quality of the music is so crappy but im really lookin forward to the new cd

I was listening to IKSOSE in the car today. It's a great album. Does anyone know of a website that tells the whole story thingy throughout the albums? I'm interested in it now.

Try Cobalt and Calcium. Their forums are a great place to learn about the story, and people post tons of theories on songs there. The only songs we know the story behind FOR SURE are Time Consumer, Devil in Jersey City, and its seems like most of Everything Evil. Maybe a little later ill post the overview of the story behind them for you. |
Thanks. :thumb:

Hahaha, I'm into a lot of pop-punk/none hardcore punk stuff. I just barely come into here because there isn't enough good discussion and due to the recent trend of people liking boring generic crap. |
