Fruityloops is the best thing to learn on. Truth be told, anytime I'm doing electronic music that doesn't involve using complex arrangments, I use fruityloops. The simplicity of it is motivating. I still have like 2 or 3 tracks I could probably get signed that need to be finished and mastered, I've just lost the urge to do it.

sounds like i should stick to that then...i only really need to do the drums...my singer does the rest...i would rather just play drums for real though...

If you're trying to get instrumental sounding drums...hrmmm...maybe reason might be better after all.

With fruityloops it's just kind of like...very point and click, easy to import my own samples and such. Reason gives you more precision over the sample you're using.

I use fruityloops for house or techno of breaks, but any acoustic sounding drums, I use reason.
