My friend got Sgt. Peppers on vinyl for pretty cheap.
|
I live in a small town so maybe thats why.
|
Bummer. I just moved, and the only place to get CD's here is Barnes & Noble, but back in Seattle there were some really awesome record stores.
|
Beatles cds are like $20 each here :(
|
They are about $15 here
|
Even "Please Please me" which isn't very good was $20 :(.
Where do you live? |
Mississippi, but its like this all over the U.S. if you don't buy them in a mall.
|
oic
In Canada everything costs more. |
I can't make a canadian joke :upset:
Edit: they are even cheaper on a military base. |
Everything is cheap on military bases. I don't really know how much Beatles CD's cost anywhere, becuase my parents owned all of them except Hard Day's Night since before I got into the Beatles.
|
Some Time In New York City certanly exists: it is manifested in the form of shiney disks in a case in my CD holder haha.. It has "Woman is the ****** of the World" which for some reason I couldn't pursuade my sister into playing for her elementary school talent show... bitchin' sax solo
What is everyone's/anyone's Favo(u)rite Beatles movie? Examples: A Hard Day's Night Help! Magical Mystery Tour Yellow Submarine I haven't seen Help! yet but so far my vote goes to Magical Mystery Tour |
hey i love yer name "Walrus Gumboot"........classic. We do a pretty unique cover of I am the Walrus, check it out if ya like..

Woman is the ****** of the World... man, what a great title. I haven't seen any of the Beatles movies in the past 10 years (not since i was 6 or 7) so I can't tell you which is my favorite.
|
I have only seen Help! I want to see the others, but I don't know where to get them from.
|
I've only seen part of Yellow Submarine...and that was before I cared for the Beatles, so I wasn't really paying much attention(it was in a "General Music/Music Appreciation" class in middle school).
I haven't been able to find them either...well I found them on eBay but I dont want to buy used ones...and I would rather buy them at a store. |
My vote goes to MMT, I also think the album is unbelievably underated!
|
I also think the album is unbelievably underated!
I agree. I mean it has Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, All You Need Is Love, The Fool On the Hill(underrated song IMO), I Am the Walrus, and Hello, Goodbye. Plus, it has the only instrumental song that I can stand listening to. |
What about Baby You're a Rich Man and Flying they are 2 of the best songs on the album IMO>.
|

I think the same thing, both are very catchy songs. |
I can't believe I forgot Baby, You're A Rich Man..but I mentioned Flying(not by name but that's the one I was talking about when I said instrumental.) Blue Jay Way, Magical Mystery Tour and Your Mother Should Know are alright songs too, but I have to be in the mood for them.
|
Hmmm, In my opinion Penny Lane and Fool on the Hill are the worst on the album, but I'm crazy!
|
Your Mother Should Know is another favorite off the album.
|
what is your least favorite album?
mine would probably be either Please Please Me or With the Beatles. I love both albums but they're below their other albums. |
Your Mother Should Know is another favorite off the album.
Meh not really. Please Please Me is probably the worst one. |
I love Fool On the Hill,
Not many people liek the song Helter Skelter but i am a Big Fan! |
I heard that in England, Love Me Do was the Beatles first single and it only went to #17, and Please Please Me was their next single and it went to #1. I dont agree with that...does anyone else prefer Love Me Do or am I just weird?
|
I love Fool On the Hill,

mm I always wanted to see if I could pass Helter Skelter off as a hardcore punk-y song to untrained ears... maybe get them to admit it kicked *** and then tell them that it was the beatles

http://www.gasolinerainbow.ca/music.html
Thank you, and your I Am The Walrus was pretty dern good... I was expecting something bouncier, but that was actually a bit slower than the original, which says alot about being able to mess with the more technical aspects rather than making it faster/heavier like many Beatles covers, maybe next time I am in Ontario I will check y'all out PS: Where are the cryptic messages? haha |
Wait a sec, I'm in Ontario right now.
