Both the Youngs And Bon were born in Scotland but grew up near Melbourne, Ausatralia.

Brewer14 01-17-2005 09:48 PM
When they release this much rumoured new album "Strap It On" is supposedly going to be the name, February this year it is said. Only a rumour though, not positive.
Its gonna be out in February? Whoa, I thought it was gonna be later this year. But I think the "Strap it On" rumor is just that, a rumor, from what Ive heard anyway.

rippa32 01-17-2005 09:50 PM
also for whoever it was who said AC/DC r Australian in my opinion your wrong i consider them scottish mainly cos Angu and Malcolm and Bon were all born in Scotland and later moved to Australia just my opinion on it
Angus and Malcolm are scottish. But the band itself is Australian.

rippa32 01-17-2005 11:44 PM

Hey I was just thinking that it would be Angus's 50th birthday this year. Anyone know what the actual date is?

ArcLite 01-18-2005 01:39 AM

March 31 is the day you seek sir.

rippa32 01-18-2005 03:29 AM

I thought it was something around there. Maybe that is the date they will release the album.

ArcLite 01-18-2005 03:32 AM

Sure would be nice if it was. I'll kill to see their next, and possibly last, concert.

rippa32 01-18-2005 03:55 AM

Yes very possible to be the last.

AB/CD 01-18-2005 12:35 PM

if the album does good wont be their last they even say on stiff upper lip live tat they arent gonna stop until they feel they arent cutting hte mustard i dunno i cant remember the exact line was something like that

ANGUS YOUNG13 01-18-2005 07:12 PM

they are going on one last world tour this year or so i heard

rippa32 01-18-2005 11:15 PM

Yeah it might be the last. I still think it depends on how well the album sells.

ANGUS YOUNG13 01-18-2005 11:26 PM

well now with all the bear share stuff and free music no albums sell well anymore

rippa32 01-19-2005 04:08 AM

Calm down dipshit. I love AC/DC more than most as well, but take it easy. I'm not sure what brought about his statement but it is pretty much true. No matter how much your fan-boy ass loves them, on a relative level, they are not super talented. They're much more on the catchy side than talented. Many guitarists could make Angus look like C.C. Deville next to them. Moving on, am I the only one here who's a fan of Chris Slade as drummer? Not entirely sure why, but he was always my favorite, especially live.

rippa32 01-20-2005 03:22 AM

^ Yeah hes my favourite as well. Its unfortunate Phil came back and replaced him. Ive never really like Phill, dunno why.

gtarriff 01-20-2005 11:13 AM

IMO Slade was the best drummer they ever had

HybridOrigin7 01-20-2005 11:28 AM

The problem I have with most of the posts here about Angus, calling him overrated, is the fact that they're basing his talent by what they heard on the radio or a cd. Angus is incredible, most people dont fully understand his talent until they see him live and improvise soloes and riffs.

Cky Andrioid 01-20-2005 11:31 AM

AC/DC is a very good band. I Perfer Bon Scott over Brian Johnson.

This User Name is taken. 01-20-2005 11:31 AM

AC/DC are amazing, IMO.

Thier riffs may be easy and all, but they're catchy and do make some d'amned good music.
I can't think of a band that's a lot like AC/DC.

Heh, I named my cat Angus.
