Tears In A Veil is probably my fave so far.
|
I'd LOVE to hear Five Magics live, and another one I love is Into the Lungs of Hell... The Conjuring too, and Rattlehead would be sick! Also, Victory, I can't get enough of that solo...
Off TSHF I'd have to say that the first three tracks (Blackmail the Universe, Die Dead Enough, and Kick the Chair) are my faves. I'm so glad that Megadeth didn't go the route of Metallca. |
Hi,
I know Megadeth for 2 weeks now and I want to know what their best album is, I already have Rust in peace and I think its pretty good so it would be nice if someone gave some good albums thanks |
^^^
for a great feel of the band, they have had a few different styles of sound in their career...aside from Rust try: 1. killing is my buisness and buisness is good 2. countdown to extinction 3. cryptic writings |
Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? is a good one too.
|

You should first buy all the albums from Kill Is mY Buisness through RIP, then Countdown To Extinction and The System Has Failed, and then, and only then, you should very cautiously take a peek at all the other albums, simply cuz they suck. Pre-Youthanasia Megadeth > God Youthanasia and later Megadeth = pure crap Even Dave Mustaine himself claims this is the case |

My favorite is either The Scorpians of Kick the Chair bu Die Dead Enough is coming in quickly.
|
Does anyone know if Hidden Treasures is still available anywhere and what exactly it is?
|

Heh, I like all the songs 'cept The Scorpion, Die Dead Enough and Tears In A Vial. |
on the Megadeth homepage, it says "World Tour" and on the tour dates page it says "dates will be added/changed as time passes" :smoke: no reason to panic :thumb:
|

I think the best way to get Hidden Treasures is to buy it through Amazon, because finding it in stores is next to impossible, not only that but they have discontinued it, as well. I got it used (but its in perfect condition) from amazon.ca for $14 Can (this already included shipping/handling/tax). You can try amazon.com if your from the states or elsewhere. Hidden Treasures is an EP they released in 1995, that includes cover, soundtrack, and one-off songs. It is indeed a treasure!!! |
Did Mustaine learn guitar on his own?
|
Yes Dave is self taught. He only recently took lessons after his arm got messed up.

yes i do, ive always felt peace sells is an over-priased album. i tried to pick an album from each style of music that Megadeth played...their early, mid, and later years...ive always thought that KIMBABIG was a more well rounded album than PSBWB. |

two of their best, ive always enjoyed Megadeth's 90's albums more (i know TWNAH was 02', you get the picture). |

Rust in peace, then, everything from the 80's |
dose rustin peace have hangar 18 (awsome song) on it
|
i just reviewed 'The system has failed'
http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4733050&posted=1 for all them who are undecided yet. |
I agree that Peace Sells is over-rated, give me So Far, So Good, So What any day over that.
|
I disagree there, I feel the songs on SFSGSW! aren't as good as Dave's other ones and the production value is a little low. I'm with Peace Sells here.

yes, among 8 other awesome songs. :thumb: I personally think that Peace Sells is indeed a bit overrated, and SFSGSW a bit underrated. (Although I still say RiP is their best work.) Both are still amazing albums, though. SFSGSW has such killers as Into the Lungs of Hell, Set the World Afire, Mary Jane, In My Darkest Hour, and Hook in Mouth. |
ok, i must have seen this so many times, but is the last song "My Kingdom Come"? because on my CD it says "My Kingdom".
|
its My Kingdom im pretty sure, and i bought Hidden Treasures right from sam the record man in Toronto, pretty sure i got the last copy tho, and i also bought capitol punishment cause it was going out of print as well
