Click here if you would like to hear one of the best metalcore bands:
The I Collective http://www.theicollective.com/tic_-_01.mp3 http://www.theicollective.com/tic_-_02.mp3 These guys go to/used to go to my school. Unfortunately, they broke up because they're a bunch of drunken idiots.:( Good band, good live show. The singer would sometimes go out into the middle of the pit and start beating the shit out of kids in the middle of a song.
Anywhere we can get more I Collective? That would be tits if we could. |
While I remember, what genre would Saetia fall into? I'd say they are closer to the original concept of emo laid out by Rites of Spring, but that's just my two cents.
|
Would Copeland or the June Spirit be considered emo?
|
anyone like folly? i think they are a good band.
|
What about the June Spirit?
|
What category would you put these guys in?

I like Copeland, but not emo.
And I haven't heard June Spirit. I'll take a listen later and dish out my two cents. |
Nice thread guys, wish i'd found it sooner.. but anywho, i'm curious as to what you would call Coheed and Cambria? Thanks :thumb:

Not hardcore...
|
I just listened to a bunch of CDs. Some "real screamo," Neil Perry, Crestfallen, Envy (them crazy Japanese folk), Majority Rule, Kaospilot pageninetynine, badcannon (it was something like that, I believe their on Level Plane), Saetia, Love Lost But Not Forgotten. Also, the new Dillinger sounds so good, so does the new Misery Signals. Time in Malta sounded pretty bad. Converge is coming out with a new album this September.
|
did anyone get the new terror cd? if so, is it better than lowest of the low?
|
My friend got it at Hellfest. He said it's not as good as LotL, but still a good CD.
|
I just picked it up myself. Good stuff. I don't like the production though, it's too nice and clean for a hardcore album.
EDIT: I also bought Scars of Tomorrow's Design Your Fate. I don't even like them, I just got it because it was only $4.25. |

You go crazy on Soulseek or something? |
Heheh. No, the music store I go to has this computer database where you can listen to any CD you want.

Haha, so you just sat there and listened to CDs all day? Or did you more or less scan through them? Man, I wish my CD store had that :upset: |

Lucky bastard, I get stuck buying discs I know one song to, and hoping they are good. |

Man, I wish my CD store had that :upset:
i was in barnes and nobles and they have a huge database of so many bands. every band i searched you could listen to. |
Irvine? Rich fuck.
When we can buy a house out here we'll be rich. Are you out of high school?
|
Yes.
|
Cewlness. Are you gonna be at the Eulogy show in Anaheim?
|
Nah, I don't think so. I will be at Undying/The Acacia Strain, Evergreen Terrace/ALOL/The Red Chord, and Caliban/SoT/Nodes/Reflux, however.

That was it. And Throwdown is definitely metalcore now. |
Also, did Chad sing when he was in Shai Halud?
|
Yes. He does the guest vocals in "The Only Thing", if that's what you were wondering about.
|
Also, I have a couple questions about a7x I thought you might be able to answer. Does M. Shadows play the piano on songs like "Warmness On The Soul" (which I like now) and "We Come Out At Night?" And who does that high pitched backing scream on "The Art Of Subconscious Illusion?"
