Alright, alright.

Speed Metal is basically just traditional Metal sped up.
Thrash is, well, you know what thrash is... 0-0-0-0-0--0-0-0-0-0-0 :thrash:

i mix up speed metal and thrash metal preety easily, which bands are which for future refrence?

would Slayer be speed and Megadeth be thrash?

I guess, but Slayer is known for being the true definition of thrash


I think thrash just kinda evolved from speed metal.

I got tickets to Malanshi: official midwestern (USA) tribute band of Judas Priest in march :thumb: this ought to be one hell of a show!!!!! i attend every tribute show i can (also has Queen next month too!!).

Show No Mercy could be considered a speed metal album as it displays more traditional riffing. Look at the song Tormentor, thats pretty much speed metal where as songs such as Angel of Death are full blown thrash. Megadeth is a great example of straight up thrash band. remember, just because it is fast does not necessarily make it speed metal. :thumb:

I have a question for the founders of the Titans.
 
[B]K!, JMetallica, Deftoned,[/B] I need to know something. My band, Axehead, has decided to play more of a melodic nu-metal instead of thrash. I didn't really object to the change, mostly because what I write fits that kind of music better and better suits my voice. (We sound a lot like Cold.) Thrash is still my favorite music to listen to, but I need to know. Can I stay in the Titans, or would you rather me leave because of this decision?

Though I have no clue what this thing is(I just skipped to the last page), I vote that you kick this fool out. Him naming himself Sacrifice and doing this is an insult to that very band. :lol:

bought megadeth - peace sells today for only $18, not bad.
and is diabolis in musica (or whatever its called) by slayer any good? i was in the Muses for some reason and, believe it or not, they have a heavy metal section!!! (pictures all of you fainting in utter disbelief) so i looked in there, whilst little thrash was at my disposal, i saw dialobis in musica for only $11!!! should i pick it up???

It's a crap album really, only a few decent tracks. I wouldn't recommend it, but it's alright for $11.

I'm going to have to say we should keep him due to the fact that he felt bad about the whole thing and that he still believes in the Thrash. It's better he reveals this shameful secret and still believe in thrash instead of him thinking nothing of it and abondoning our clan of his own volition. I vote for him to stay, but I guess 2 to 1 I was voted out by JMetallica and Deftoned. Of course, there is no way for us to just take away his status is there?

Yeah, since Sacrifice seems to be untrustworthy in some clansmen's minds (I like him), you will need to fight to the death with him and the victor will emerge with permanent membership.

So what song shall we play during the battle. My choices would be Exodus' Lesson in Violence or that one where Spock and Captain Kirk battle to the death (watch the Medieval Times scene in Jim Carrey's 'the Cable Guy' to see what I mean.)
