Thanks. I was thinking about changing it, but I think I'll stick with it for a while.
You have to keep playing. Join a clan and get into some scrims.
Yeah, I do. I want to scrim more often. Ash should be able to hook me up. A better computer would help too.
So uh, Blink 182's Buddha is a good cd.
Yes.
So is Enema of the State.
Yes. Most of their CDs are good. Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is my personal favorite.

DaveToopes 02-01-2006 10:13 PM

JR, you should consider it a good thing.

Besides, you only have 400 posts and I like you. Some people need to get a lot more for the regulars to start liking them.
Does anyone know an American anarchist folk singer called Utah Phillips (I'm a bit hazy on the surname though)? He's got a big bushy beard.
Yes. His lyrics are ok, and I'm behind his message, but I don't really dig him. He did a lot of work with Ani Difranco; I think she was kinda the "Rick Rubin" to his "Johnny Cash", reintroducing him to the bidness.

Peter....You never invited me to the slumber party in your closet that doesn't exist.
JASSE!
Have my babies.
Fiance? Holy crap.

Good for you. What's she like?
Well it's not the old girlfriend (which cheated on me with two guys that I work with and I dated her for 3 1/2 years)
Yup yup, well she is about 5'0, 100% japanese, freaking loaded like owns 10 cars and rents out garages on the north side of chicago, owns a car performance shop, moms a lawyer, dads a cardiologist (which is why it is so ****en hard to buy her anything like on valentines day) and is totally awesome. Shes going to college to be a teacher or child psych. I'm shooting for history teacher orrrrrr real estate agent or just buying and selling a lot of property....and I get sex like everyday but thats besides the point

Anyways quit the old job at UPS being a supervisor because they were all faggots and I now work at a steel mill (we work hard...we play hard) and I'm a spot welder and tig welder over there and making some pretty fat cash.

There's a dirigible heading towards my bedroom window at full speed (about 10 miles an hours) with something that looks like machine guns poking out the sides.

AIRIC 02-02-2006 05:05 PM

And 500 miles away, down I-70
there’s a boy sitting in a room
full of patches and PCP
and the kids all drink the same beer
and they talk about anarchy
and he wonders if he’s the only one
who remembers what that used to mean?
and the punk-rock band plays on
long into the night
these days the girls with the empty eyes
hardly even put up a fight
and he watches as his friends give up
and slowly start to die
sticking needles in their arms
because punk-rock boys never cry, and he sings:

Evan Greer is so awesome.

sketchyjoe 02-02-2006 05:50 PM

That he is. Here's a different kind of awesome. Hobo awesome.

if i found God anywhere it would be by the tracks,
face down in a boxcar with a forty in both hands.
when i find God there, well just sit and roll some Top,
because hell be just as confused as anyone else on this rock.

i took two tabs of acid yesterday afternoon.
woke up this morning with a torn pair of shoes.
i found id ruined my life and everyone elses too.
i guess this is what my teachers warned me drugs would do.

but they forgot to mention the way
that the morphine makes the pain go away,
and how ill always remember the good times in my spine
and the holes i burn in my brain with this next line.

if i found Satan anywhere it would be by the tracks,
trading souls of kids like me for cheap bags of smack.
when i find Satan there, you know i wont be thinking twice,
because at least in hell theres rock and roll and there aint no Jesus Christ.

i swear i left my sanity someplace in this mess,
crumpled between empty beers and packs of cigarrettes.
i kicked my last hope to pieces and just hoped for the best.
i guess this is why my friends warned me against hopelessness.

but they're the ones getting laid,
and im the one waking up alone every single day.
ill always remember that while i listen to their crap.
tell them to fuck off, and then hug them after that.

if i found God anywhere, it would be by the tracks,
huffing whippets down as he watches the trains pass.
when i find God there, ill watch him pass out throwing up,
because hes drank himself to sleep each night since the one that he made us.

Wow a forum with Johnny Hobo fans.

When I registered I didn't know this would be so much fun. Favorite JH song is Acid Song without a doubt.

sketchyjoe 02-02-2006 06:00 PM

There's loads of Johnny Hobo fans here.

Well, more than in most places.

Acid Song rocks. It's my favourite. I've scratched the lyrics into several desks during boring lectures.

AIRIC 02-02-2006 06:00 PM

What a great noobie.

coheneran 02-02-2006 06:00 PM

I should start listening to Johnny Hobo.

AIRIC 02-02-2006 06:01 PM

Yeah you should ponyhead.

coheneran 02-02-2006 06:20 PM

His lyrics aren't very profound, or well-written. Well not in the Acid Song anyway. It's just references to junky culture and the usual cliche'd comments about what God/Jesus/Satan would be like in reality. I mean, it's cute, the words flow nice and are true, but they've been said over and over many times before, and better too. It's like with Anti-Flag. They said it, and it was nice, but it's been done before, and been done better.

/Covers crotch.

Liebensaft 02-02-2006 06:20 PM

Whoa, Airic. Don't get carried away.
