Do you guys think that a 10x14" Snare is too big to be a main snare?
|
Depends on the style of music

Yeah, I have a maple one. They are pretty neat, but not very versatile. Get a 5.5 er 6 x14 for a workhorse. EDIT: Unless you wanna play in a Pantera Tribute band or something. |
yes.
is it a marching snare? |
I hate it when people complain about the size of my marching snare :upset:
|
does anyone else really like goldfish crackers? i've got a big 2.1 lb box that i've nearly finished all by myself.
|
I love goldfish crackers.
For a wicked snack, make Goldfachos (yes, I made that word up. feel free to use it, though, as it's a wicked snack that needs promoting). Basically you just put a whole bunch of goldfish on a tray, shred some cheese and sprinkle it on, and broil those babys. Yum. /Wishes he could eat solid foods. :( |
sounds like a tasty idea

Yay, I got my school pictures today and I think this is the first year ever that they didn't suck. I'm not a very photogenic person, so it's surprising that they turned out good for once.
Pretty much everyone else hates their's though. A somewhat strange thing happened at my drum lesson today. I've been working on a Jacques Delecluse snare drum study, and this past week I never really practiced it at all for some reason, and today when I played it for my teacher at my lesson he said it sounded great and had improved quite a bit since our last lesson. So maybe if I never practice anything, I'll become incredibly awesome. Wait...but I like practicing... |
My school ID this year is the first school picture of myself I have ever liked
|
Yeah it's a marching snare. But not a normal once. A vintage one with triple-flange hoops and a thin beech shell.
|
Our school ID's look really cheap this year, but at least my picture for it is good. Last year I looked really stoned in it :upset:.
It's kind of sad though...on my card it has my student number, and the number is 011. Man my school is so small and lame. |
I always look real high in my school pictures. So does 90% of the school.
I was going through last year's yearbook, and there's so many mistakes. So many obvious ones, too. Front page says "Compostite" instead of "Composite", they're missing 3 teachers, one of the teachers got put in with the students, they messed up atleast 10 people's graduating quotes, etc. It's so bad. |

My north-african friend looked like a terrorist. And I looked stoned out of my mind. There were pics of the yearbook editors in the yearbook calling themselves awesome yearbook editors when they mispelled, used bad grammar, and didnt put the answers to a sortof charades deal with famous albums acted out. Where do you live? |
Haha wow, your yearbook editor sucks.
I'm pretty sure the people on our yearbook committee use the opportunity to put many pictures of themselves in there. One girl had a picture on nearly every page of the yearbook from last year. There were quite a few pictures of me in there too though, but I guess that happens when there's only like 200 people in your school. Electric Requiem: I live in a crappy hick town in Manitoba |
Haha wow, your yearbook editor sucks.
The problem is, we don't have an editor. We have a yearbook committee, which is also the grad committee, which is also student council, which is also the honor students, which is also on the town council, etc. There's a group of 10 or so kids that are in every possible organization in town, which means certain ones take priority, and certain ones get completely ignored, like the yearbook. Oh well, yearbooks always blow anyways. |
my schools got something like 1600...and were not one of the bigger highschools in calgary
|
Yeah, Calgary is big and scary. The first time I ever had to take the bus and train there I was terrified, but luckily my ex was with me and knew what he was doing.
I was even scared just taking the bus to U of M in Winnipeg, but that was because I was on my own then and wasn't entirely sure what I was doing. I'm such a sheltered little farm girl :upset: |
