No Doubt covered Bad Brains? What song?
sailin' on. You can find it, but it's only a live version.

Outbreak's cover isn't bad. They played it when I saw them.

sketchyjoe 08-19-2005 04:40 PM

I just had a weird dream.

gastery6 08-19-2005 04:44 PM

Tell us about it

sketchyjoe 08-19-2005 04:52 PM

There was a drunken mosh pit, and a midget, and a guy smashing a guitar, and some people attacking a car with fish, and four people riding a fat guy, and a speedboat chase through a swamp that ended up in my garden.

Jessizzle 08-19-2005 04:56 PM

Heh, I slept all day, it was kinda funny, cause I cant breathe thru my nose, so I slept with my mouth open so i drooled in my sleep.. Hardcore!

DOLEMITE 08-19-2005 05:14 PM

CombatRock 08-19-2005 05:20 PM

RIGHTEOUS!!! Tonight im seeing a hair metal concert, Cinderrela, Quiet Riot and Ratt in my town (for once a band comes, and i get in for free my drummers day owns the hall). Also 45 minutes from my house is a town called Shiner and they always have Bocktoberfest where mostly country bands play but this year the headliner is Audioslave!!!!!! One of my favriote bands.

I guess this makes me lose some punk points though :upset:

religionisascam 08-19-2005 05:21 PM

Forest_Fire 08-19-2005 07:21 PM

Who did the original "Stepping Stone"? I know minor threat did one version, and I think sid vicious did one too. And I've been listening to an amazing cover of it all day.

BrightSides 08-19-2005 07:26 PM

sketchyjoe 08-19-2005 07:29 PM

Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart wrote it for The Monkees originally.

I dont think I'll be going there anytime soon.

Brain Toad 08-19-2005 07:57 PM
mine does that when I go to it through google or some other link somewhere.
It's because you may go through http://www.musicianforums.com and the links will go through http://musicianforums.com or vice versa. You could technically be logged onto two accounts at once if you used those two different addresses.
http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=381208

Wow. Not a single good band on the soundtrack. Plus, people will probably get to hear the worst ever cover of GB
I think I died a little inside
From Autumn to Ashes - Fear's "Let's Have a War"
First APC ruins that song, now that fag group does, oh god.
Saves the Day - The Dead Boys' "Sonic Reducer"
Gay
Taking Back Sunday - The Descendents' "Suburban Home"/"I Like Food"
WTF?
Fall Out Boy - The Gorilla Biscuits' "Start Today"
Both singers have pre-pubescent voices.. so it may work
Rise Against - Black Flag's "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie"/"Fix Me"
That's that only decent one

TAND 08-19-2005 09:03 PM

Didn't that game usually have good sound tracks, or partially good?

cheeser_1 08-19-2005 09:55 PM

that soundtrack scares me. the only good bands on there are rise against and the murphys, but more importantly, them and the alkaline trio are the only three bands that aren't horrible steaming piles of crap that shouldn't be allowed near music in any way. that's terrible. but i think the skateboard video game soundtrack scene is stupid anyway. OMGLOLZ.

The No Doubt cover is available on a Save the Seas comp, and also in that huge boxed set they put out a few years ago. I bought it for an old girlfriend. Frankly, I like No Doubt's version better than the original. They make it a lot more dub-based, and it's nice.

And I thought that said "OutKast", not "Outbreak", which would've been awesome.

CombatRock 08-19-2005 11:52 PM

/me gives you fag stamp of approval

In other news, I just dropped my first college course. I dropped History 120 because I don't want to take a class with a 126 students that basically takes place in an auditorium. And I don't like having to go all the way across campus from the bus, nearly killing myself with all the **** stairs to get there on time.
