I am going to get a t-shirt and just spray paint 'ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT' on it in BIG BOLD LETTERS. LOL.
If you did that in England you'd probably get priority council housing, free dentist, and a UK Passport *sigh* |
Today I'm dying this navy blue hoodie of mine from middle school black. I also will be replacing the zipper, because it's also navy blue and broken.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/asdf23/hoodie.jpg Lots of work for an old piece of clothing, but I think it's worth saving. |
Not a chance mate.

|
i dont think so? the only similarity is a mohawked head from the side.
|
I think so. Eran is so punx rawk.
|
Political disagreement with Eran? Never ;)
The government I know treats asylum seekers and gypsies as the first rate citizens rather than the British, but what do I know, I'm not Eran. |
Eran knows all
|
Eran goes to my college and knows my timetable, I should keep hush.

You get a free education you bint! Besides, you're living with your parents (are you? It never came up) and therefore I'd imagine they support you financially. You don't need benefits. |
How old are both of you?
My hoodie has been dyed, but I cannot know if it turned out until tomorrow. I found it was difficult to dye a wet navy blue item black, because wet navy blue looks very close to black. |
I'm 17, and I hope your hoodie turns out nice.
I'm thinking of claiming hoodie (as opposed to claiming skin). I'm gonna be a yob. |
Why the hell did I think you were 14?
I just found out that one of my classes (print making) is basically screenprinting.
I love my school's screenprinting class. I'm basically doing professional-level work with mine now. Filling orders for club tshirts and such.
Other than applying the emulsion to the screen and exposing it for the right time, its hard to mess up screen printing. I make new designs with emulsion all the time :D Good luck!
I disagree ... :\ Or are you talking about using elano green? That takes out a lot of complications with coating and exposing and cleaning. It's a pain in the ***, but it's harder to screw up.
What's a buzzbox? Big protest coming up, does anyone know an efficient way to make two-colour flags without a sewing machine? I need to make as many as possible.
Just put two colors on top of each other and run a sewing machine down one side. I think that's the easiest way to do it, and will produce the best results. Of course that involves a sewing machine ... |
Yeah, my experience is that it goes outside the fabric more than acrylic and takes a lot more to look solid than acylic.
I use the technique here (but I cut the freezer paper in an 8x10 sheet so I don't have to trace it from printer paper and can just print it): http://stencilpunks.mattrunningnaked.com/print_stencil.html
yah, ill do that hten, it looks alot easier, and i can do like white on black and everything? cool, ill go buy the items maybe this weekend, im goin to fiendfest so i gotta make my own shirt yay |
Here's a couple pictures of one of the wallets I've made myself. I made this one out of pennies, I've made 2 out of Pokemon cards, one out of Monopoly money, and one out of counterfeit money. This is the only one I've taken pictures of, and was the second wallet I made.
It's a bit sketchy, since it was the first time I had used something that wasn't paper, and the thickness made quite a difference. It was a little heavy, but nothing more than a wallet with change in it anyways. I don't use this one nowadays, due to me being poor enough to need to use change, and the lack of a change pocket doesn't help. This was fun taking through the airport security when I worked there, always got some weird looks from security guards when they scanned it. I can put up a little guide on this (sorry, no step-by-step pics, maybe next time I make one I'll take pics along the way) if you guys want. |
That is illegally awesome, you make me sick.

How could I get these really nice jeans that I have to be either solid black, green, or white? Could I use bleach to get them white? Dye? Also, where could I find flannel cloth fit to make pants from?

arg...the sparrer shirt ive been working now turned out kinda bad. ive been having a really big problem with the freezer paper. for one layer it works well. but with multi layers the edges stop becoming sticky, is there any solution to this.
ill still wear it cause i worked really freaking hard on it. back http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/h-drix/CS3.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j73/h-drix/CS31.jpg the front was posted a page or 2 back. |

Thanks for the comments on the wallet, guys. Would anyone want me to write up a guide on how I do it? It only takes about half an hour, 45 minutes if you're going to get al the creases out, assuming you've got decent packing tape.
I have a question: Does anyone know if the freezer paper stencils (from the link on the first page) are re-usable? I'm guessing they are, but I've never physically felt freezer paper, so I don't know. Can you iron it onto a shirt more than once? I'm only looking to do one-color shirts right now, if that makes a difference. Thanks. |

there reusable to an extent. after the first go though they be EXTREAMLY weak esp if theres a lot of "peninsulas" or thin areas. im not sure about the ironing on more then once, ive think ive done it once. and it doesnt work as great. if its one color then you should be fine. If your only going to make a shirt once then i would go with freezer paper. if you want to reuse it, then go with something sturdier. |
Eh, freezer paper doesn't work that great with multiple applications. I've been able to get a couple applications out of one sheet, but it's better to go a different route with multiples. The stuff is flimsy, and most of the plastic is gone after the first time through.
One thing you could do is get something sturdier (overhead transparency or manilla folder) and adhere to the shirt temporarily with spray-tac. You can do that over and over. |

you can use what ever you want. the freezer paper is good just because it can stick on the shirt easily. and, its easy to trace your stencil and cut. Its just depends on whatyou find easier.

alright, sweet. and i just gotta find a roller thing to put the paint on with, do they have those at most arts and crafts places? |
I got a couple foam rollers and a paint tray at the local dollar store. For 3 rollers of different sizes, the tray, and a couple foam handbrushes (which I don't need, gave them to my mom), it cost me $3.
