Cold. Very very cold.

I managed to miss all 4 of my lectures today due to total laziness. I'm proud.
I wish I could just skip class like that. I've only missed about 2 or 3 lectures so far this semester because I'm just afraid of fallling behind in the work. :(

And yeah, it's windy as heck here in New England. My fan is hardly working because of all the wind.

I started the semester like that. Fell apart when i discovered the closest bar :)

talk show host 02-23-2005 12:35 PM

I've missed all my lectures this week so far. My plan was to use the week to buckle down and work, when in reality I just lazed around.

I wish I wasn't such a pansy when it comes to doing work. I get angry at myself.

theredwonder 02-23-2005 12:45 PM

The problem with languages is that, since there are only 7 or so people in my seminars, they actually care when you don't turn up. Bugr'd :(

talk show host 02-23-2005 12:58 PM

Yeah, I had that problem last semester. Seminars are definately the worst thing about life.

theredwonder 02-23-2005 01:02 PM

All my lectures are seminars :upset:

/ends life

talk show host 02-23-2005 01:16 PM

:p

I only have one 1 hour seminar a week. And two 1 hour lectures.

The Ashtray Girl 02-23-2005 01:53 PM

At least you lot all appear to have missable classes.

I was tempted to skive Games today, but I didn't quite have the nerve. I actually had no breaks from 8.35 to 5.00 as well, which was a bit sucky.

theredwonder 02-23-2005 02:01 PM

If i miss any of my classes during the week i get emails about attendance.

I have 15 hours.

Scott Herren 02-23-2005 02:02 PM

I have 5 people in my classes on Tuesday and Thursday so I have to show up. This morning my professor failed to show up for class :(

Scott Herren 02-23-2005 02:03 PM

Oh, and who likes my new avatar?

theredwonder 02-23-2005 02:04 PM

I didn't realise that was new. It's pretty sweet, but not as good as my new Danger Mouse one :p

Scott Herren 02-23-2005 02:07 PM

Wait, what do you see as my avatar?

asymm 02-23-2005 02:09 PM

Nothing, broken image.

theredwonder 02-23-2005 02:09 PM

2 dudes, one in a leathery jacket. A orange/green? background (colourblind). Don't know who they are.

Scott Herren 02-23-2005 02:12 PM

****, I have to fix it. Now it just says "Scott Herren's avatar"

theredwonder 02-23-2005 02:13 PM

dislocated214 02-23-2005 03:13 PM

Anyone know of any good songs (suitable to play for a class presentation) about the genocides in Sudan/Rwanda?

sweboy 02-23-2005 03:24 PM

Rancid - Rwanda?

Maybe not. It rocks though, and has a suiting name.

leiferikson 02-23-2005 03:31 PM
Anyone know of any good songs (suitable to play for a class presentation) about the genocides in Sudan/Rwanda?
I was thinking adagio for strings (from Platoon) but thats been way overdone.
Hmm... Hallelujah, Jeff Buckley version?

Swami 02-23-2005 03:54 PM

Butch up people, butch up.

The Ashtray Girl 02-23-2005 04:25 PM

I went to my school's radio station today and found out that there's a weekly show called "The Truth" where they play almost every genre of music you can stomach. I heard "Master of Puppets," Ray Charles, some early 90s gangsta rap, AC/DC, "Bark at the Moon," and some indie rock band I was unable to identify and you'd probably all smack your heads and groan if you heard it because it's probably obvious to many of you. Anyway, all the other radio shows are pretty rigidly structured by genre, and I was pleased to hear one with fewer boundaries.

Iai 02-23-2005 05:14 PM

When I get a radio show at university, that's what it's gonna be like.

And I'm gonna broadcast it online and force you all to listen to it.

Zappa 02-23-2005 05:16 PM

I'm generally not a big Coltrane fan, and certainly not much of a Trane endorser, but the album pictured in my avatar has really siezed my attention. It also has quite a pretty cover.

Then I'm going to request "That APC song, y'know... Imagine! Yeah that's it!"

Nice avatar Zapp, as always. Very cool.

At this point, I will be forced to declare to the whole campus that you just got neg rep'd.

It's good. You should fix the blurriness, though.

I always thought you were a huge Coltrane fan...

heh.

Do you know which university you're going to yet?

Or even, does anyone else know what university he'll be going to?
