yeah it's really wierd
like theyre all glitchy, i'll have to re rip the cd onto the comp at least i still have bedroom scene from communion in tact edit: if they can't i dunno what the hell happened to my mp3's
Did you move them from place to place a lot or retagged/renamed them? They could've gotten corrupted somehow. That's the only way of a mpe "detiorating" Just re-rip. |
So, they can detiorate then?
no.
actually wtf it must've just been something i was running while listening to the music that made it sound choppy because now all of the songs are fine
oh yeah dude thats happened to me before.
So, they can detiorate then?
No, they can corrupt if you do something to them. Detiorating implies overtime they will become bad quality, which is impossible.
actually wtf it must've just been something i was running while listening to the music that made it sound choppy because now all of the songs are fine
That happens to me, if something is using a good amount of RAM, my sound gets all crackly. It seems to happen more once I got a PCI soundcard. |
I need to get better ram. I have 512 MB of PC-100 RAM, which sucks real bad.
i have 512
how can you tell?
i have 480 mb
i need to make this computer good sometime, but i'm too lazy i wanna buy a bigger harddrive mines only forty gigs, but i dunno how i'd get the music from one to the other np: bedroom scene from communion ah i love this song a lot |
My music hard drive only has 30 GBs left, I wish I had the money for the 500 GB thats on tigerdirect right now.
jesus how much is that thing
An arm and a leg I'm sure...
i only have 60GB and i got a little "you have low disk space" thing a few days ago. i had to delete a lot of old songs i didnt like anymore. i need a bigger harddrive.
jesus how much is that thing
I have a 300 GB harddrive. :)
nice
i envy your harddrive |
I have a 300 GB harddrive. :)
But do you have 27K mp3s? Also, I don't understand the term emo violence. I know it's not a real genre, but all the bands I see called emo violence seem just like straight power violence bands, I don't sense any emo in them, like Palatka. Enlightenment? |
i see palatka as an emoish band. i'm not too familiar with "power violence", so i don't know what to tell you, but i've never considered palatka to be anything but an emo band. maybe there is a difference between straight power violence and power violence that is more emotional? i dont know.
Power violence is stuff like Charles Bronson and Spazz, I'm sure you've heard either of those?
I didn't see Palatka as more emotional than those, maybe it has to do with lyrical matter, I don't think Palatka sing about killing people or beating up gays or people who like Epitaph |
maybe it does have to do with lyrical matter. i've also only seen "emo violence" used a substitute for "screamo", either way its s.hit.
I see it used as a substitue, but I also see it as a completely different genre, usually for bands that are lot heavyier than bands that get the screamo label.
Regardless, Palatka were pretty good, but not that much of my cup of tea. |
i like just sticking with emo
palatka were a pretty good band, some of their songs were just too short though. the only band that seems to have mastered the short song technique is Ampere.
i used to think that the first like four songs off of all our tommorows end today were just one song
hahahaha, they can blend together i guess.
well on itunes for a while i had that overlap option on so i just never realized that they were different songs
i like just sticking with emo
I've adopted that too, was just wondering where the name emo violence came into play. I enjoyed Palatka's split with Asshole Parade, but Asshole Parade's side was better. |
Hey DFel I'm hanging out with a nice girl on Friday. She is very pretty.
Poor decision on matt's part.
hahaha :p |
today i got stuck selling merch for my friends band, and there was this one shirt that was so small that i didn't think anyone would fit in it, so there was this girl there and i hit on her and made her try it on and she bought it
it looked nice on her and she wasn't abnormally skinny either |
I watched female figure skating in the Olympic Center on Saturday.
Did you pork in the backseat of somebody's car?
theyre alright, sort of like shoegaze but with lots of old beatlesish blues stuff
they use very cliche chord progressions i guess but it's still alright there was a better band that played, a video game metal band. they have an ace starfox corneria cover |
Power violence is stuff like Charles Bronson and Spazz, I'm sure you've heard either of those?
I didn't see Palatka as more emotional than those, maybe it has to do with lyrical matter, I don't think Palatka sing about killing people or beating up gays or people who like Epitaph
Good ol' power violence for ya'. |
I think the reason that In/Humanity first used the term is because it was laughing at the fact that the particular grind infused screamo that they and other bands were playing had a particular violence to it so instead of labelling themselves screamo like bands like Heroin and Antioch Arrow they made a joke out it.
They were also making fun of the terms power violence and emo. |
nice one time i fell asleep with ampere playing on repeat

i didn't know neil perry had short songs...then again i don't really listen to neil perry.
