So, the hit and run (guy rammed a parker bus) was in the news, apparently the guy was still over the limit when they picked him up 15 hours later. He also rammed another 4 cars.

i have a nbhr that has this exact car, rusting away in a cow pasture with weeds and vines growing all through it

he refuses to sell it to anyone

Retarded Chipple 02-18-2008 01:14 PM

So I've just bagged myself 100 free songs on itunes. Recommendations on albums to get.

Thinking of getting:

Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced?

Maybe something by The Beatles, a jazz album, an Afro Cuban album and a Brazilian album.

Any suggestions?

Maggot Dream 02-18-2008 01:31 PM

Revolver is the best Beatles album, go with that. For jazz, try Elegant Gypsy by Al DiMeola.

Static 02-18-2008 01:33 PM

Al DiMeola is great.

Rubber Soul is very strong too.

spike9908 02-18-2008 01:38 PM

Holy hell, I haven't posted here in months. What have I missed? I noticed Josiah finally got banned. Are the forums still a flame-fest?

Maggot Dream 02-18-2008 01:41 PM
Rubber Soul is very strong too.
I've always liked Revolver because it's pretty much their turning point from cheesy pop-rock to more experimental rock. Their earlier stuff isn't bad, I just prefer Revolver, the White Album, and Abbey road to most of it.

And yes, Al DiMeola is awesome.

Static 02-18-2008 01:42 PM

Hell yeah, bro.

ace76543 02-18-2008 01:47 PM

we need like an irc or something.

uhh...doesnt mean its legal to post porn of yourself on the internet...or at least not for other people to look at it...

Retarded Chipple 02-18-2008 02:08 PM

Wtf, there doesn't seem to be any Beatles albums on itunes

fishbulb 02-18-2008 02:13 PM

That isn't a bad idea...

The Mites 02-18-2008 02:14 PM

We used to have one. It didn't work out.

fishbulb 02-18-2008 02:15 PM

Why not?

The Mites 02-18-2008 02:17 PM

Because there just wasn't enough activity and people stopped caring. That's why new drum forums fail, because nobody cares. People post here because other people post here. Nobody wants to talk to themselves.

This past Christmas I completed my Beatles collection with two of their early albums, With the Beatles and Beatles for Sale, and let me tell you their early stuff has grown on me tremendously. Like, it blows away everything else from that era and is a serious contender for bands that came later. Really strong stuff. I'll Be Back and No Reply are amazing tracks, probably my favorites right now from their first four albums.

Best Beatles album = Abbey Road. The pinnacle of music.

the_pure_drummer 02-18-2008 02:25 PM

Rambo II wasnt that good.

Don't think ill watch any more of them.

Retarded Chipple 02-18-2008 02:26 PM

Exactly.

You should go watch Cloverfield.

the_pure_drummer 02-18-2008 02:28 PM

Drum Phil 02-18-2008 02:34 PM

Saw it on friday with the missus.

ace76543 02-18-2008 02:40 PM

oh joy. i had to change my snare head. it was the only head i haven't had to tune. now my whole kit sounds like ****

Drum Phil 02-18-2008 02:42 PM

Noob.

Im moving bits and peices of my kit around.

Im really tempted by a 3 up 2 down setup for experiments sake.
