Not sure if this was said but not reading through 53,000 posts. Todays music F U C K I N G BLOWS HUGE DONKEY DICK. Thats why the new rock radio stations are shuting down (at least in my area) so people are forced to listen to the classic rock stations. then they are saying "hey yea i really like this" or "damn i forgot how cool this was". That's why it's coming back. It's been hapening for 3 years now. Then you get crazy hybrid bands liek the vines or some sh!t. Don't particularly care for them but thats basicly where the new generation of music is headed. Crunchy punk
You'd be surprised how much good music there still is nowadays. The Arcade Fire, Sufjan Stevens, The Decemberists, Broken Social Scene, Iron & Wine...it's important to keep your mind open.
Thats how it is here. Its so awsome how people like the classic rock instead of rap and pop rock and stuff like that.
I like rap

/me listens to A Tribe Called Quest

The Shawshank Redemption was on today, just ended. Excellent film.

BigTrav415 01-08-2006 10:04 PM

I still am looking to find good bands that are actually recording in-studio right now (The Who, ABB, all them are still touring, so they don't count). I've heard that bands like Porcupine Tree and Primus are awesome, but I have yet to hear anything by them.

ATM 01-08-2006 10:05 PM

I've seen Porcupine Tree twice. Very good shows.
Funny, my estimate would be that this thread is 2-3 years old. We've kind of moved past the first post in 53,000 replies, but welcome to the forums.

I don't listen to music in the woods because I like listening to the birds.

Eric Clapton. Cream

I want to buy albums by Cream and Eric Clapton. May someone suggest their best albums. That would be appreciated. Thanks.

Leper 01-08-2006 11:24 PM

I don't know that much about them but I always hear people "cream"ing their pants (see what I did there?) over Disraeli(sp?) Gears and Fresh Cream.

Seafroggys 01-08-2006 11:36 PM

the reunion dvd, Disraeli Gears........haven't listened to much else (as for Cream). But they rock ***.

Hodgetts 01-08-2006 11:40 PM

PinkFreud 01-08-2006 11:51 PM

I'm sixteen. My grandpa is somewhere in his sixties.

Leper 01-09-2006 12:17 AM

Yeah my uncle saw Pink Floyd live...I don't think it was in the seventies though. He's got a framed picture of the stage set-up with his tickets below. Next time I'm over there I'll have to check the date on the tickets.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 01-09-2006 12:34 AM

Wow this thread gets really spammy sometimes.

Listening to "Being for the Benifit of Mr. Kite" really stoned while being chased though the woods at midnight is by far the most intense expirence this man has ever been through.

On Friday, my best friend sold a pill of 'pure' MDMA (XTC) to this kid and apparently he got really sick and scared then told the nurse at our school. He had to go the hospital shortly afterward (apparently). On the same day (Friday) we bought 5 pills of apparently the same stuff ('pure' MDMA) and they turned out to be bunk. It's a good thing though, everyone that has taken the pure MDMA from that dealer has had to been taken to the hospital. (about 5 people) I just found this out. The kid that my friend sold the MDMA to, told on him and now he's in deep ****.
I don't listen to music in the woods because I like listening to the birds.
I found that very funny.

For some reason or another you come off as a violent person.....

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 01-09-2006 12:53 AM

Horrible....

I couldn't help it but I did 3 lines of yay (2nd time though) on Friday and I seem to be doing alot more pot these days.....and I tried to do X on the same night but it was bunk.

/sigh
